I have been watching some film on Matthews days in college. This kid is gifted but is a late bloomer and shows flashes of being a huge part of our offense. I beilive the reports about Miami signing Wallace. With Miami running a hybrid west coast read option based offense Mike Wallace is the perfect fit for end rounds, slants and seam routes and confuse the defensive backs. Richard Marshall is resembling a lot like our "own" Greg Jennings with his physical tools. Hands, Vision, Body control. If Miami thinks Marshall is capable of ascending into a starter and he actually does, I think Miami's vision is Wallace, Matthews, Bess and binns/draft pick. Tannehill has shown ability to carve up a defense, the addition of Wallace will help inflate the offense and march down the field at will. Then to me and them, Wallace is a must get whether you feel he deserves that money or not. He may end up being a great investment for the growth of the team.

but yeah, but it would be better to have Hartline in there as well and just draft Swope because you would have four guys who now know the offense and would be ready to roll! I have been thinking like this for days! Just pay Hartline enough to keep him happy because he still makes plays downfield. He gets a bum rap on his falling down, which is true, but I think the guy has dropped like 5 balls since being here in 08.

People need to think about where we were last year at start of season. Legadu. ay yi yi.

Im gonna go watch that Swope vid on his thread and go to bed. 3rd time today I will have watched it.

Why did you bring up Hartline? The OP never mentioned him at all. This thread is about Matthews.

Rishard Matthews has looked solid.

I don't think he'll ever be a superstar. But whether he's our #3, #4, or #5 receiver, I hope we keep him on the roster.

I've seen nothin out of Matthews that would indicate he is more than a backup type receiver...not saying he could'nt exceed that, but just that there is no appreciatable reason to hope for that.
