I guess each fan will have to decide....how he/she see's the trade of Feeley for C. Lemon. With all the QB's that have become injured....does moving Feeley now make sense? We're one hit away from having Sage become the starting QB...and that would make Lemon the emergency backup....what pressure....he's never played in a REAL NFL game....he's new to the team and won't be able to learn and know the offense of the Dolphins. To me this trade opens up the Dolphins to a risk with too high a price. Was moving Feeley now....worth the risk...was it worth saving 3 mil...when you already have 25 mil to use? Lots to think about...another thought one could have with this trade is...is Saban already giving up on this season? He has to know that Lemon will not be able to help the team much....yet there's still 12 games to go....is he thinking so ahead...that he either forgot that injuries happen...or has he factored that in against what he thinks will happen this season? Trading QB's in the middle of the season doesn't happen often....can't remember when the Dolphins traded like this before...so it appears a strange move....it would be different I believe if the Dolphins made this move either before or after the season...imho. Anyone else see this either as a risky trade...or a strange trade...mid season?

We don't already have $25 in cap space. Getting rid of Feeley is not a risky move.

oh come on...even though this trade was made for obvious cap reasons I will play along with your paranoia...

..WHO CARES about what if's right now!! We aren't even favored to make the playoffs, you think it matters if we end up hurting 2 QBs caused by really bad turns of fate??

I for one am hoping it's just a first part of a trade in the offseason to get the qb SD lets go. The Chargers GM told espn they should focus on the pick and not the players. I'm still trying to figure out why you should focus on what some people say is a 6 some say 7 and espn still says undisclosed. They might be seeing if AJ is a dependable backup and the pick might esculate to a high pick for the qb they trade.

The Dolphins will have appx 25 mil in cap space as it was next year....it's been reported as to that. You don't see the risk of having only one NFL ready QB on the team? Sage and Lemon don't have a record...because they don't game time behind them. Sage at least knows the offense....something that Lemon will need alot more time to learn. I for one see that as a high risk....that could come back and bite you....if Gus becomes injured.

It's been reported. By who? Not anyone from our front office. The newspapers can say anything they want to. Mueller said we'll have between 10-12 million.

I don't see how its risky at ALL. Feeley was never going to play for the Fins again. Lemon will get a chance to see what he can do. Just getting someone to take Feeley was huge.

And remember that Mueller has had a track record of getting good steady QB's out of nowhere!

you don't see the risk of BIG DEAL?? seriously, say this unfortunately happens, what does it really do to this season??? Or are you one who thinks we can really make some noise come playoffs?

Dude, if both Gus and Sage get hurt, Feeley would've been no better option than Lemon. Have you seen Feeley play lately? Sure he's played in regular season games before, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'd be a better option than Lemon. You could throw me out there for a few games and it wouldn't make me a better option than anybody on anyone's roster right now.

I beleive he said as of now they were looking at 25mill and that he perferd to have around 10-12 mill because at NO he had 20-25 mill in cap and could'nt use it all.

Uh, uh, uh, my hands up, pick me, pick me....

In the form of a question, for $500.. I say, "What is a hidden message? Alex"

IMO, Zero Risk to the big picture.......

no mueller stated that the team would only need to use between 10-12 million next year!!

no it was said that we have potential to be 25 mil under if we restructure some contracts and make some much needed cuts

I guess having one NFL ready QB can be a little nerve racking, but don't forget that Feeley was the third string QB anyway. If Gus went down, then Sage would get the nod. Both QBs going down is a stretch, but I know it does happen......Jets for instance. Feeley was a s good as gone when he was demoted to third string.
