OK don't bash me for this but I was thinking if we do decide to start over with a new GM and HC why not give Rob Ryan a shot? I imagine the competition between brothers will be great. He knows some of his tricks and I am sure Rex knows some of his. He is a loud mouth like his brother but the man can coach. The Cowgirls are dead last in defense after he left. He turned around the Saints D from dead last to actually pretty decent. I like him. What do you think?

The way I feel after last night? Why not...can't be any worse.

Give me anyone who can get the most out of our players on D. 8 straight games giving up 20+ points is unacceptable.

I agree...Everybody bitches about our O,but our D blows...I mean if they don't get a sack or turnover, the opposing team drives it down our throat.
How many times, have we gotten a lead..just to watch our D give up a long drive to give the lead up?
Anytime we need a big stop...they get it shoved down their throat.

Yes I agree but man I also hate giving up 3rd and long. I don't think he has had the chance to be a HC in the NFL so by hiring him he might have that fire. I know some o us want Gruden, Cowher , etc but I think Ryan is a good choice.

Rex is 5-0 against Rob though, so that wouldn't bode well for us!

He wouldn't be getting hired to be the DC. Can he surround himself with good coaches and inspire them and his players? I think it looks like he can do the latter, but can he understand put together an offense and defense that work together and get good assistant coaches to implement that?

The ones we got now, don't seem to be able to pull it off.

i know you guys hate rex because he's the jets coach. but the truth is that him and his brother are terrific coaches and, as a jets fan, i hope you don't get rob ryan in miami

I find it hard to believe they would coach in the same division. They are close friends, aren't they?

I personally have never been as impressed with Rob as I have been with Rex. When has he ever really exceeded expectations, other than this year? Oakland - meh. Dallas - meh. Cleveland (I think) - meh.

If Ross lacks the spine to back the very team that he owns in the face of martin,

you don't seriously think for ONE second that he could just sit in the same room as Ryan much less hire him to coach his team?

Ross would be making excuses on Day 1.5 about Ryan.

Ross will never own a winning franchise, just face it. A meddling owner who can't even defend the team that he owns will never steer
clear long enough to allow a winning team to develop.

Rob Ryan is not HC material and his defenses have never finished in the top 10
This thread is a failure. I would stick my ***k in a blender than have that blow hard at the reigns here in Miami

Ryan's defense has been less than spectacular. I don't think he deserve an HC position at this point.

He's a pretty damn good coordinator, but that opinion might be disputed by Holmgren in Cleveland and Jerry Jones in Dallas. No thanks.
