i just saw that stephen neal is a free agent as well as tom ashworth. i say we steal both of them from our division rival. they're both top-notch, and it just makes it that much better that they are coming from new stinkland.

not tom, he is NOT a top notch player. he is more of a RT and has back injury problems and NO upside.

Id like Stephen Neal or Ashworth both are pretty good.

NE has alot of money under the cap - IF they were that good don't you think a pretty smart organization like that would have signed them by now? Neal is a converted wrestler - serviceable but no star. Ashworth is another serviceable guy but not an upgrade for us. We need 1 guard or center and we have a decent 5. We would then need to build depth. No need to rush here - there still may be more cuts on the way especially as it gets closer to the draft.

Exactly. Taking their castoffs is not robbing them. Not saying Ashworth couldn't help, but it's not going to kill NE.

The patsies oline is the best in the nfl with those "serviceable" players.

Both are pretty good.

I think to use the word "rob" is pathetic. New England and Bill Belichick has done a great job keeping the team together.

I almost forgot about Neal. He'd be a good pickup for depth or competion as would Ashworth.

And Troy Brown would be a good "all-purpose" WR who could compete for a position with Wes and be a dimeback in an emergency situation. And a backup PR no doubt.
