They can't inforce the ban for a long as the injured player is out but they damn sure need to do something. Like the 1st time you do it you get fined and the 2nd time your suspended 4 games. And it should roll over from year to year. After you get the warning/fine you need to play clean for 1 full season before your eligible for the fine again. Every consecutive illegal hit you get a 4 game ban without pay.And yet Marte Mapu gets to play this week and wasn't even ejected for the remainder of the game. How is that fair? If you want to stop the egregious illegal hits, punish the player by giving him as much time off as the injured player he knocked out, without pay. It would end it really quickly...
