Robert Kraft Charged In Prostitution Ring Bust

Source: Kraft files motion to suppress evidence

Attorneys for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft filed a motion Wednesday to suppress evidence -- notably the video evidence -- in his solicitation of prostitution case, according to a source.

The motion is an effort to make sure that the surveillance video, described as graphic and damning, isn't released if he doesn't reach a plea deal with prosecutors. It also is a warning shot to prosecutors that Kraft's legal team will try to go after the state's case by saying there was no probable cause to collect the evidence in the first place.

LOL! I demand that all evidence against me be destroyed! WTF? Well it worked with the NFL might as well try it in a real court of law...

Pats' Kraft Pleads Not Guilty, Asks For Jury Trial

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Tuesday officially entered a not guilty plea to charges on two misdemeanor counts of first-degree solicitation and has asked for a jury trial.

Kraft's attorneys filed a court notice Tuesday also waiving his arraignment, which had been scheduled for Thursday but is now canceled.

In February, Palm Beach County authorities announced Kraft was videotaped twice paying for a sex act at an illicit massage parlor. Kraft, 77, is among more than 200 people who, police said, engaged in sex acts with employees of targeted massage parlors in South Florida.
If convicted, Kraft would face 100 hours of community service and a $5,000 fine. He could also get a year in jail, although that is unlikely.

Roger Goodell: Conduct Policy Will Apply to Robert Kraft When We Have All Facts

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday he is not nearing a decision on disciplinary action against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft because the league does not have all the facts in his prostitution solicitation case.

"I think we said several weeks ago the personal conduct policy applies to everybody: commissioners, owners, executives, players, coaches, and it will be applied to everybody, but it will be done after we get all the facts, we have all the information and we'll be fair and smart about it," Goodell told reporters.

Pretty sure if a player was just charged with something like this they would have been let go by a team and no one would hire him. This is Kraft getting special treatment because he jerks off Goodall on a regular basis.

Agreed, Kraft will get away with it legally and through the NFL. It's a dog and pony show just to look good.

I just don't get the reasoning on a jury trial but I'm sure his attorneys are involved in that part.

Looks like he's going to trial because of the trafficking part. Claiming Cops lied. Probably thinks he can beat it. I don't see how with video evidence.

"
He lied. His officers lied’
Burck pounced on something Snyder said during an interview with a West Palm Beach television station recently, when he admitted that the months-long investigation into a possible human trafficking ring that ensnared Kraft and hundreds of others might not actually be trafficking."

He is a ****ing idiot. Just admit it, pay your fine, do your community service and boast that you still get handjobs at that age. In a month or two everybody has forgotten about it. How many people still remember the foot fetish story by Rex Ryan?

The sad part is that all that human trafficking issue takes a backseat to a ****ing spoiled and rotten piece of **** who thinks he can get away with everything.

Kraft attorneys seek to exclude video evidence

Attorneys for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft filed a motion Thursday to exclude video evidence in his solicitation for prostitution case, a move that could prove pivotal.

Kraft and the other 24 defendants had previously filed a motion to block public release of the video, which has been described as graphic, but Thursday's motion in Palm Beach County, Florida, seeks to exclude it from the case altogether.

The defense team argues that Jupiter, Florida, police had no basis to install video cameras in the Orchids of Asia Day Spa as part of their investigation, and that the evidence should be thrown out.

Kraft's attorneys allege illegal search by police

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Attorneys for Robert Kraft on Wednesday attacked a Florida police investigation that led to the New England Patriots owner being charged with paying for sex at a massage parlor, saying officers violated the U.S. and state constitutions and used tactics normally reserved for serious crimes rather than low-level offenses.

In a 92-page court filing, Kraft's high-profile attorneys allege Jupiter, Florida, police misrepresented evidence to obtain a search warrant that allowed them to secretly install video cameras at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. Police say those cameras recorded Kraft twice paying to have sex with spa employees.

Kraft's attorneys argued that using the cameras to prosecute misdemeanor crimes violated constitutional privacy protections and prohibitions against unreasonable searches. In addition, a Florida law says police can only make secret recordings when investigating certain serious felonies. Kraft is charged with solicitation, which is not a felony.

I don't think he even would have had to pay a fine or do community service. IIRC they were willing to drop the charges entirely if he just signed a statement saying that he admitted he would have been convicted.

Lawyer argues against Kraft video release; authorities say spa not linked to human trafficking

An attorney for Robert Kraft argued Friday that the public release of video evidence in the prostitution solicitation case against the New England Patriotsowner would invade his privacy, while a state attorney acknowledged there was no evidence of human trafficking at the spa Kraft visited.

William Burck told a Palm Beach County judge that releasing the video would only satisfy a "prurient interest" during a hearing held in part to determine whether media outlets -- including ESPN -- could offer arguments in the case.

Investigators initially said they were targeting human traffickers, but Assistant State Attorney Greg Kridos told the judge there was no evidence of human trafficking at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida -- claims Kraft was never linked to.

Prosecutors say Kraft's attorneys lied in court

ORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Two of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft's high-profile defense attorneys lied during his misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution case and falsely alleged a police officer admitted to fabricating a traffic violation to stop another massage parlor customer, prosecutors asserted Tuesday.

The Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office filed a motion asking Judge Leonard Hanser to hold attorneys Alex Spiro and William Burck in contempt and throw out their questioning of Jupiter police officer Scott Kimbark. While questioning Kimbark at a court hearing last week, Spiro accused him of telling other officers he would make up a reason to stop the customer who left the Orchids of Asia Day Spa directly before Kraft in January, using an obscenity to describe what he would do.
