Roddick done at U.S. Open!

Roddick is a bum. USA tennis is just pathetic. I grew up watching guys like Connors and McEnroe give it all every point and challenge for every major event. Roddick just doesnt have the competiveness or will to win grand slams consistantly or challege the Federov's out there.
 
First off the guy's name isn't "federov",, its Federer and he may be the greatest tennis player to ever live! Nobody can challenge him or comes close too!

Second, a bum????? The guy has one early exit. When was his last one???? He is in the final or near the final of every grand slam event!
 
Sorry MikeO but Federer will never go down as the greatest player to ever live, not because he doesn't have the talent but because his competition isn't talented enough to allow him to prove how good he is!

He has talented competition. Just because his competition aside from Roddick isn't American, they get no press in the US.
 
Roddick has a big serve but NOTHING else. I like Roger Federer...you never see him making excuses...he just kicks ***....I root for him even though he is a Swiss / South African. :D

im not sure he will be the best ever, but i dont think it will be because of his competition.

this is one of the deepest fields of players i have seen in a while. If anyone saw the Agassi/Malisse match, you saw a very high level of play from a guy (Malisse) who hasnt gone far at all in majors. But he is an amazingly talented player.

A lot of the guys we dont hear about, like ohall said. But the americans have had a good run so far and the Open has been very entertaining

Roddick is a bum. You see him looking dejected during games, he doesnt believe he can beat F-E-D-E-R-E-R, the guy is in his head. Connors, McEnroe a younger Agassi, Sampras, they never would quit like that. Roddick is young, he still has a run in him, I hope, but really he just seems to have accepted being 2nd fiddle and that to me is what a bum is.
