why does one think a cast off QB will be any improvement over what's on the current roster?

If I were to bet on one guy that will end up in Miami it would be Davey. If not, then I do not think we will get anyone this year and we will end up staying with what we got. but I do believe Saban would like to get his hands on him to get alot of info from and make a decent backup. Big guy who can move and has an arm. So far the knock on him is he is not good on the short stuff. Linehan couls fix that.

I'm sorry guys, I like the Dolphins, but they can improve at quarterback, A.J. and Gus aren't great quarterbacks any so called cast off brought in wouldn't be an immediate starter but probably would be a better long term answer.

The Saints have put out some good quarterbacks, Jake Delhomme and Marc Bulger both third option when they were Saints went on to be starters and stars for their teams. Kinsgbury with the Saints is similar, inexperienced but has a good future, he is likely to get cut and now possibly Bouman as well as New Orleans may bring back J.T. O'Sullivan if he's released in Green Bay. Sullivan, Kingsbury, Bouman, Davey are all better long term options for the Dolphins than Gus and A.J or Sage and Brock Berlin. Just my opinion on the matter...Davey will be a Dolphin.

Write it down, if New England can't trade him and he is cut he will be on our roster.....

Like the other guy said, you could have posted in the other thread.

interesting thoughts to say the least. allow me to expand upon them. should your scenario hold true, and the Saints cut Kingsbury and Bouman in favor of J.T. O'Sullivan, what makes you think Saban would still go after Davey? Think back a bit and remember this, Todd Bouman played under Linehan in Minnesota and when asked to perform when Culpepper went down, he did so quite well. Who's to say Linehan would not have a say in bringing him to Miami, again, if your stated scenario were to occur.

Very good point! I forgot he was at Minny!

only real issues with Bouman, a career 98.6 passer rating, are his age; he is 33 and not getting any younger, and fumbles. in career 108 pass atempts he has fumbled 4x and lost 2 of those and been sacked 8x.

guess that alone would make a case to continue to look at Davey.
