Just read on ESPN website that Rohan Davey was snatched quickly by the Cards as they heard he was scheduled to work out for Miami this week. I wish we would have brought in Davey and groomed him to take over when Frerotte is gone. He could have come in and been #3 this year and we could release or Trade Feeley. I would take a can of soup for when we play a cold weather game later this year for him!

I for one am glad we didn't waste any time on him.
I would also ask you to think that if Saban, who was his coach and knows him best didn't make a strong push for him then there must be a reason don't you think?

Ok, so maybe he is a backup. Sage is going to be a FA this year and would you rather have Feeley or Davey as your backup?

Personally I think the reason that he didn't make a strong push is because we take a cap hit for releasing Feeley. But he also said that during the Bye week is when he likes to look at upgrading at positions. So if he was bringing him in for a workout then don't you think he was saying something there about him being an upgrade to what we have now??

In all honesty though. Think about it. We sign him to a 2 year deal for minimum. If it doesn't work out we aren't out anything at all

How do you know we were bringing him in for a workout?

Ok im actually tired of the talk of every player saban coached at lsu playing for the dolphins, very few of his players especially on offense are worth a dang and I don't want the miami dolphins to become the "island of misfit lsu rejects"

Hmm, actually I wouldn't put it past Saban to have scheduled a workout with Davey to prompt Denny Green into making the offer to Rohan instead of putzing about. I think Saban still has a lot of fond feeling for Davey, but realizes he's probably not cut out for the NFL. I mean, I find it awfully coincidental that the phins scheduled a workout with Davey finally only after it was obvious the Cards were goin after him.
