Cliche, I know, but seriously. Everyone is getting way too worked up about this Texans loss. Yes we didn't play that well, yes we probably should've won.
But I see way too many people going crazy about this loss saying it has ruined our playoff chances and whatnot.
Remember, we went 1-15 last year. We still have the same secondary as last year. This is season 1 of the rebuilding process, and it's just that, a process. Pennington is a stop-gap, our lines are incomplete still, our defense and recievers are garden variety at best.
Even if we were to make the playoffs this year, which is far and beyond pre-season expectations, there is little chance we would make it far with our very weak secondary, weak recieving core and mediocre, noodle armed quarterback.
I think the back to back wins against two of last year's powerhouse teams have spoiled some of the fans around here and now expectations for the Dolphins are becoming somewhat unrealistic. Keep in mind that both the Patriots and Chargers are struggling this season.
We came up against a winless team today, who suffered two heart wrenching losses in the final minutes, and were desperate for a win. That's a very dangerous team to play against, and I think they just wanted it more.
I'm still optimistic the Dolphins will have a solid season but remember, Rome wasn't build in a day.
