Apparently Cowboys are looking for a backup QB, and Leary is demanding a trade. (And it helps that they were already interested in Moore this offseason).

Leary would start on our O-Line, and then we would have some decent depth. As of now, we would be lucky to produce a 2nd quality started at G, and even in that scenario we are left with little depth on an injury prone o-line.

Probably won't happen, but it makes a lot of sense to me.

What do you think?

I've been advocating for a Leary trade for quite sometime!

The biggest issue is if Tannehill goes down who steps up? Is Doughty really ready for a #2 role? I know nothing of Zac Dysert or his potential.

One other random thought: This would have been better when Nick Foles was available as a potential backup option (he just signed with KC)

I think that our biggest need is CB. While O-line has been a problem in the past, I actually expect the players we have to step up. I would not make your proposed trade.

Cowboys had Moore in for a visit in March. Could have had signed him real cheap, apparently they weren't interested, probably aren't now either.

If Tannehill goes down it is a wrap. Moore would not do very much. As a matter of fact, I would prefer to see Doughty instead of Moore if Tannehill goes down.

I think if Tannehill goes down, that's the season no matter what. Moore isn't going to salvage much. May as well let Doughty learn on the job. I would sacrifice a decent backup QB for good line play any day. Good line play is more likely to keep your #1 qb healthy any way.

At this point who are you thinking of benching Turner or Tunsil? Both players have looked decent in camp. That beng said, I would trade Moore for Leary and sign whom ever the Chiefs release between Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray.

Moore doesn't want to leave Miami. He's very happy here. He has taken less money to remain here. Any money he continues to make while here is gravy, and I bet you if the Dolphins were dead set on parting with him for whatever reason, he'd just retire and take a job as a Dolphins asst QB coach or something.

Moore's a gamer, if Thill went down I still believe we would have a chance to sneak into the playoffs with a strong run game and with the playmakers and defense that we have. I would not do that trade.

I think most agree if your starter goes down for the year, chances are the season is doomed but if a backup can play .500 ball for four games if the starter gets nicked up and save a season, thats a huge asset.
