DAVIE - After weeks of hinting that tailback Ronnie Brown would be held out of the early exhibition games, coach Tony Sparano seems to have softened his stances.

On Thursday, Sparano said Brown, who is less than 10 months into rehabilitating his surgically repaired right knee, will be a game-time decision for Saturday's exhibition opener against Tampa Bay.

According to Sparano, a lot will depend on how the tailback looks in the final practices leading up to Saturday's kickoff.

We all know what Ronnie can do. I hope they sit him, even if there is a hint of soreness.

Sit him, I say.

We have a logjam at running back. Let us see the most of them while Ronnie heals.

I think it would be dumb to play him. What good would it do? Then, if he gets hurt, everybody will be calling Sparano an idiot.

I say sit him until the 3rd preseason game and then let him get his normal reps in. Let Ricky start, no need to put him in jeopardy in the first pre-season game

at least we don't have to worry about that clown cameron having ronnie return kicks again.

Sit it out Ronnie. Let Mr. Williams wipe the rust off onto the Tampa jerseys.

let ricky run

ronnie needs to heal.ricky can run he's a beast back to 230 pounds almost ronnie's weight but ricky is ricky he can do things ronnie can't..
i hope ronnie's injury does'nt start a 1st string rb battle..
but whatever what do u choose in his prime ronnie or ricky??
i choose ricky..let ronnie get healthy and let him compete for the starting job
like any other position the best player will start..

hahaha....yeah dredd, sounds good to me....Ricky needs to really get hit a little...it's been a while since he was hit a lot....I hope they don't play him to much though...wouldn't want all the rust taken off in one game...
I remember back in 2005 he couldn't practice with the team and he was suspended for the 1st "5" games...the rust wasn't fully off till around the 10th game of the season..

Dont rush him, i wouldn't play him until he's completely 100% ready and sure he can go. We already know what he gives us when he's healthy, there's no need to jeopardize that in the pre-season.

Ronnie really should not play in pre season games this year.

In fact, he probably should not play in the first half of the season at all.
When Ronnie Brown is healthy, he has the capability to be one of the most dominant players in the NFL. Looking at his age, and how much wear Ronnie has on his tires, the dude probably has between 5-8 years of kick *** playing time ahead of him. I would not want to jeopardize the kid's future just so he can play in a few games of a season that does not have much hope of success to begin with. The Dolphins should exercise supreme caution with the handling of Ronnie Brown.

I think maybe Ronnie should play. Not a serious amount, just the first series. Nothing will help him more than to carry the ball and feel an NFL tackle again. It'll show him that its not that bad and hes ready to get back on the horse.
