i dont who is to blame for that fumble on the opening drive. but that play set the tone for the game. it was exactly what happened the whole indy game. cram the ball down their throats and have nothing to show for it. i know the players were thinking , here we go again. it really was a mind f... for the team. that just never got the domination back after that drive. i know there were a lot more bonehead errors in the game. i just think this one was the worst.

coming in second, was the call in the second quarter, i think. it was 3rd down from around the 5 yard line and the call was to run. horible play call. you have to pass in that situation.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with another poor showing of the secondary or the pick 6 by Henne that sealed the game. :rolleyes2:

hey thats the secondary they wanted and thats what they get. we have to deal with those toy soldiers all year. they couldve drafted another cb instead of pat white. the game was already down south when henne threw the int for 6.

The Fins were only down by 10 points. We were certainly not out of the game at that time.

oh cmon now , did you see the way that offense was playing , henne could barely drop back much less get a play off. glad to see you had high hopes though.

Well up to that point we had only scored 3 points before Henne came in so 10 points seems like a big lead.

Oh no don't get me wrong, I had and have no hopes in Henne. I was just being optimistic about only being ten points down.

We have good players in the secondary, We just dont have a Coordinator to show that.

how many int's do these good players have? you can blame it on coaching to a point , i agree. but at some point the players have to tackle and cover. these are basics that coaching cant be held responsible for.

How in the world can coaches NOT be blamed for poor tackling?

What exactly is their job then?

The choice of formation blew it. We never run goal line plays with backs split to that extent, so close to the line of scrimmage. It stood out immediately and I said, "What the heck is that?". I knew something was up and obviously the Chargers did, crashing down hard on Ronnie's location.

This regime has been great in short yardage, generally quick hitters to Polite. But in the past couple of games we've put in some wrinkles, for whatever reason. I guess it's designed to get Ronnie rolling from a position not far behind the line of scrimmage. Not a bad idea at midfield. I love those quick traps with spin influence. But at the goal line it stood as as too different and with everyone bunched it allowed San Diego to guess on Ronnie and attack, and it turned out they guessed correctly.
