Why all the hate towards Ronnie.. I see people calling him a average back?? he is an elite RB in this league 1. he split carries this year with ricky and if you guys dont remeber CP almost had 4000 yds passing!! that was alson a factor IMHO 2. a 4.3 ypc is great if he wouldve been the feature back in our offense and thats 340+ carries he would be top 5 in rushing yards & would of possibly had as much TDS as deangolo Williams. 3. conming off a major injury and still playing at that high of a leverl is just amazing in my book..So all the fans criticizing him go to the Bills fourm and talk about T.O plz...you will not be missed

I think RB is a solid, above avg NFL back, but not irreplaceable. I feel that if Miami can package him for Boldin then they need to do it. I, personally am not bashing, just looking at what they need and what they would need to give up for it.

I respect your opinion....but why would you rather have a WR...ill much rather have a RB than WR just by how much they touch the ball...

i like the guy - but i think your statement points to the fact he could be an elite back, but just isnt at the minute.

1. why split so many carries if he was an elite back.
2. same point - he wasnt the feature back for a reason, plus teams like the giants had 2 1000 yd rushers with split carries.
3. coming off an injury and playing like that deserves a hell of a lot of credit - but that doesnt qualify him as an elite back.

the elite backs last year were AP, turner and williams. sorry.

how many elite backs have only gone over 1000yds once??
ive no doubt he will next year, but at the moment he cannot be considered elite.

I love Ronnie Brown, and think he is a great/versatile back.

But you saying he is an elite back, has just as much evidence as others saying he is an average back.

Plus extrapolating numbers is not at all reputable.

The fact of the matter is the verdict is still out on Ronnie. What do I think? I'm not sure. I think he is one of the most versatile backs in the league and when healthy has the potential to be an elite running back. But, it has get to be proven either way consistently.

The simple answer. Overall his carrer numbers have been average, however, his preformance on the field when healthy has shown glimpes of greatness.

Yes you are correct but the Coaches wanted him fresh comming off an injury of that nature...tearing your ACl is not pretty trust me...IMHO he will break 1100 yds....

I understand where you're coming from, but Boldin is that upper crust talent that Miami does not have. Remember Miami's offense. If they have a WR that actually scares opposing defenses, that can open up the rest of the offense(TE, RB out of backfield). Boldin has more talent at WR than Brown has at RB at this point.

Almost all NFL teams have/will be going to a two running back package. Ronnie Brown may not be a LT or a Barry Sanders but he is a great running back that a lot of teams are searching for to have the 2 rb package. So why would we trade him? We instead need to sign him to another contract to prevent him from being a FA next year. I agree with Phinatic8u. Run Ronnie Run!!

Yes in understand were your coming from as well but IMO Boldin costs to much thats why ive thrown that out the window so well go 1 more year with above average WRS and great RB duo.... (which is alot better).....even the coaches want a power running game so ronnie aint going anywhere

I will be happy either way. That's why this time of year is great. Man I love the NFL!

Sorry, dude, Brown is more than above average. First of all, he was coming off an ACL injury and still had a really good year. He should be even better this year. He's a very good NFL running back. He runs hard, he has excellent hands and can run after the catch, and he blocks like a monster. Also, has a great attitude.
Not to mention, he was the trigger man on the gosh dang Wildcat last year. Yeah, he's real average.

For all those who want to get rid of Ronnie, keep this in mind. Before Ricky Williams joined this team in 2002, we had running back after running back and no real guy who you could count on to run the ball. Basically, our running game was non-existent for years.

Then the trade for Ricky happened, and he spoiled us all. We had a dominate running back, who during that year had one of the greatest seasons for a running back in the history of the NFL. Of course things happened and Ricky let us down and now is only a complimentary back.

Ronnie Brown is a tough runner who is a Pro Bowler. People expect that we will be fine at running back if we ship him out and go with another new back. When you are thinking about that idea, think of that long period of time it took to find a good running back. Remember the Cecil Collins and JJ Johnsons of the world.

Look how long it took us to find a decent QB or a solid LT.

Trading Ronnie Brown would be a huhge mistake at this point. Just be careful what you wish for.

You know what, the more I think about, the more I think you are completely clueless.

Your "very good" equals my "above avg".
Either way, he's tradeable. Also, the Wildcat will not fool anyone this year. Miami is going to need to score points the old fashioned way. Also, how many 15 play 80 yard scoring drives do you think opposing defenses will allow? That's what'll take with the current personnel at WR.

PS. I've got so many clues you should call me Horatio, PUNK! :)

IMO there's no use in filling one hole by creating another.
