About a 7-9 minute interview. Some of the highlights...

* Players looked up to as kid - Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, Deon Sanders, Thurman Thomas
* Players that helped him make transition to NFL - JT and ZT (Surprised no mention of Ricky Williams. Thought Ricky was a real positive Ronnie's rookie season)
* Thinks 3 players that will make impact in this year's draft - Quinn, CJ, AD
* Whole team is excited about Cam and looks forward to Cam bc "offensive oriented"
* Wears #23 in honor of MJ (used to wear 20 in honor of B. Sanders)
* 3 people he would like to have dinner with dead or alive - Malcom X or Martin Luther King, MJ or B. Sanders, and Beyonce (claims she is "teams" favorite)
* Favorite superhero growing up - Superman bc "he can fly"
* Nickname is "The Wrecking Ball" (hadn't heard that before)
* Listens to 2Pac before the game
* Didn't know what he would do if not playing in the NFL bc he always thought he would be
* Wants football legacy to be A) Good person and B) Hard worker / team player

Thanx for the info. I expect big things from that kid this year. He is due and with RW coming back... He may benefit more than people think.

Well the question was " Who helped you transition to life in the NFL" When Ronnie got here Ricky was banned from the team for the 1st quarter of the season when Ronnie was transitioning. I'm sure he learned lots from Ricky about the Running back postion, but Ricky isn't the best role model for how to go from college star to successful NFL player.

(Ricky is one of my fav. players by the way, so only bashing out of fun)

Top ten list of how to succeed with life in the NFL (by Ricky Williams)

1.) How to stay clear of controversy? (Wear helmet in interviews, leave country, retire)
2.) What to eat/put in your body. (no meat? Some supplements are more beneficial than others)
3.) Excercise tips? Yoga Yoga Yoga
4.) How to give a good interview? ("I don't believe in winning or losing""ask the reporters questions on the meaning of life")
5.) Preparation ("I don't believe in the future or goals-just the now")
6.) Financial planning (or how to actually have to pay the team you work for, Master P will work it all out)

Come on guys; I need help to finish the list...

He didn't mention Ricky for two reasons:

1. Because Ronnie is competitive. Why give credit to the guy competing for your spot? He would be more likely to give credit after Ricky is gone.
2. Because Ricky has a questionable reputation in the media and with fans. When you tie your name to someone like that, you run the risk of getting into uncomfortable questions.

I disagree...Ricky has said plenty of times he is perfectly happy being Ronnie's back-up and is fien in that role...And Ricky isnt going to say what he doesnt mean, thats for sure...
