I know R Brown gets some heat from some posters on here, but this guy is a great back. His cuts are fantastic. He gets a small hole and then knows what do to in the second level very well. He ran hard behind an average line all season and showed us that he is a feature back.

This is the first time in a long time that the Dolphins:

Had some depth at QB (Lemon is a nice backup, and obviously Daunte, if he returns to form is an all pro)

Have a nice young franchise runner. (think about the last time we have had that.)

Now we need on offense:

A true #1 WR. Chambers is not the guy. Booker is more reliable as a 2. Hagan is no #1...Welker is one of the best #3s out there. We must upgrade our WRs this offseason.

Obvious OL upgrades.

A 3rd-5th round QB steal to groom as our next guy after Daunte.

I think this year's draft was pretty bad..

Also, I made a thread in preseason about how we should have traded for Javon Walker..many people argued this...well you are all wrong. Javon would have ignited this offense a lot more then Chambers. You now see what I saw..we need a real stud at WR to get this offense elite and back into the playoffs.

I'm purposefully not touching defense because that is a whole other can of worms.

I agree with your assements of need and I know you said the D was another problem, but it needs to be addressed as well. There is NO way that Miami can fill all of their voids on both sides of the ball in one offseason, but they will be able to definitely help themselves with FA on the defensive side and the draft on the offensive.

Did you really need to open another thread thats says the same thing as the other 1 millon. :shakeno:

Chambers doesn't have an amazing outstanding year with two new QB's throwing to him and a new offensive co-ordinator....and its like people want him outta here?! I'm thrilled having Booker and Chambers as the primary wideouts! With Culpepper healthy next year things will be alot different.... passes with more zip, tighter spirals, comfortable throwing the long ball... and his mobility back!

I wouldn't get too excited about Ronnie. He hasn't got breakaway speed. His longest this year is 27 yards on 220 carries, meanwhile Sammy Morris has a run of 55 yards after 90 carries. Defenses don't have to worry about him getting a big run on them. He's not bad, but I can't imagine him in the pro bowl some day.

YOU MUST NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT FOOTBALL IF YOU THINK RONNIE BROWN IS A BUST HE IS A GOOD RB AND WILL BE WITH THE DOLPHINS A LONG TIME IF HE DIDN'T GET HURT HE WOULDN'T ENDED UP WITH 12OO+ YDS THIS YEAR AND YOU CALL THAT A BUST HE WILL BE OVER 1000+ YDS AFTER INDY GAME !!!!!GO RONNIE AND THE DOLPHINS:dolphins:
No!! Ronnie Brown is a bust!!

He's not a bust. but he's not great either. Ronnie Brown is a good back. That's about it at this point.

For now I think you're right. Ronnie needs to do what he did this week more often and that is impose his will.

I think we could all sense some urgency in him, some confidence, heading into the Detroit game...and I thought he really followed through on that. Maybe for the first time other than the end of the Chicago game, the guy was patient and finding holes I didn't know where there. I think he was all set to have a 150 yard day, Tomlinson style.

But then he got hurt.

Heading into this Jets game, you could sense that urgency and excitement to come back and play on christmas night. I predicted three weeks ago that he was going to have a great game on MNF.

And that's what he did, he found holes you didn't know were there...he was patient yet he attacked. He was really in it.

That shows a lot of promise to me, like he's decided he's not cool with just being another guy on the offense. He seems now like he wants to be THE guy, known around the league, revered, etc. He was already very good, but if the latest trend continues, I think he's set to have a pretty remarkable career.

I wonder if he approaches this Colts game with the same sense of urgency realizing that the road map for beating the Colts has been written and that he needs to have a big day.
