Ronnie Brown left the stadium on crutches after injuring his right ankle in Sunday's two-point win over Tampa Bay.

"I don't think it's too bad," Brown said, optimistically. "We took X-rays. We'll wait to see what happens." Brown also called his injury a "rolled" ankle, but the fact that he couldn't reenter doesn't bode well. He's very questionable for Week 10 at Carolina. Ricky Williams would start if Brown can't

I don't think it is serious, but I do think he is out for Carolina. Luckily Ricky is having a great season & Hilliard showed he can atleast be a backup in this league.

Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot, but Ricky has looked great this season & I have confidence in him.
yea he is look good but ronnie has alot to do with that now the panters will probably pay more attion to ricky during the week because brown will probably be out this week an i am not sure ricky can handle the load by him self

Well it looks like all those shelve the Wildcat Phin fans might get heir wish. Sadly I think they are going to be shocked when they see how ineffective our offense becomes. I will never understand the mentality of a fan that wants a formation scrapped that still gains about 7 yards a attempt, creates mismatches, and scores TDs :ponder:

well, if Ronnie's out which I think he will be we'll be seeing our base offence more.....that might not be a bad thing....I want to see Henne get a chance to be in there for every drive and Ricky is having a nice season too.

yes our O will be hurt and you will see very little to no wildcat if anything it will be ricky running right up the middle to keep them honest.

Meaning we will see alot more conventional offense so we may see Henne on the field most of the game should give us a good look at him, short week losing top offensive player lets see how he handles this adversity.

Ricky looks good when is in there that much is true. My only worry is that Ricky looks very fresh when he is splitting with Ronnie, hence his lowering the head on every run. Just hope he can continue to go head first into defenders for a whole game.

I tell you what if we can somehow win on thursday, the time off to rest will be a blessing!

Just pray that Ricky won't get hurt, he's not exactly the age you want an every down back to be.

I guess it is time to put in Sheets, as a speedster, just to change the pace in the running game. Ricky will be just fine, he always has!!

Hilliard ran all over the Panthers in preseason and the kid runs hard. The Panthers dont have one of the best Run defenses. I think Hilliard can help should and Ricky is as fresh and running as good as ever. Fact is Ricky has shown he can still start this season, so while I know our offense wont be the same I think Ricky will be able to carry the load.

Our line looked great today we rushed for 199 yards and could have had more if not for a couple negative plays.

BTW a 3 INT game from Delhome will also help.

I was just thinking the same about Hilliard. I hope its Ronnie and Ricky again,I pretty sure Ricky could handle the load by himself, but I would like to see what Hilliard can do if he is needed.

I really don't expect to hear any thing definite on the injury to Ronnie. At least 'till after Thursdays game. Tony wants Carolina to use practice a lot of time preparing for the WC. If Ronnie is declared out, the defensive preparation for Carolina becomes much easier.

Why settle for three? We know Delhomme is good for at least five.
