Ronnie Brown & Matt Jones

That avatar IS badass (dolfreak's).

1: In that 1st ronnie Brown picture I looke dreall quick and thought the LSU guy had his head turned backwards, as in facing the wrong way, in which case it would have been Ronnie's fault, and if him plowing through guys can break their necks and make their heads do a 180, he might gain a little ground on Benson in my book (just a little though, lol)

2: If we don't trade Surtain Ronnie Brown (if we get him) won't have #23, this year anyway.

the 4 most impressive plays in that first "ronnie brown" highlight video were actually cadillac williams, lol. but I think my favorite run I have ever seen by Ronnie Brown was when he goes up the middle and straight RUNS OVER the Tennessee player and stretches out for the TD, and I've said it before, that second video (the one with the REAL annoying music) makes me LESS thrilled about takin Brown. It has a bobbled pass (although in his defense he does save it) and TWO fumbles (if you pay attention) not to mention the running isn't anything to write home about, its your average run of the mill NCAA rushing, and that is supposed to be a HIGHLIGHT video. for a REAL highlight video, DL this one: http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0WN6MXEL2QMGE360RAT1DP2J8I watch that compared to Ronnie's and THEN tell me who you'd rather take.

Alot of people dont realize that Matt Jones started out as a WR in Ark. But they decided to move him to QB where they figured he would be more effective. I guess he couldnt beat out all of the HOF wrs that come from Ark every yr. The team who gets him will be highly disappointed

If he's on our team it's as a WR/TE/H-back......NO QB.

Bigger, faster and more athletic than Jim "crash" Jensen. Jensen was a QB drafted by Shula out of BC. Surprised that no one has made the comparison yet.

What??? They decided he'd be more effective as a QB, yes. But look how effective he was. When you have a guy that can be so dynamic at that position in the NCAA, you have to play him there. As Saban himself said "Jones won more games for Arkansas than any other player in the SEC did for their team" (paraphrased) If we would have put Jones at WR, we would of had Ryan Sorahan passing the ball to him :roflmao: Jones was a QB at Arkansas because he COULD be, not because he couldn't play WR.

QB is a much more important position. Much more control over the outcome of a game than any single WR. It is a testament to his skills that he was switched to QB.

Read the thread i wrote and look at how he was a TD machine, passing and running.

Dolphreak.. Your avatar wont be around for long..

I honestly thought it was a pornographic image for a good 30 seconds while looking at it.. Its just too close to the real thing..

AT #7 we can still find one of the 3 RB's, maybe a top WR,Possibly The BEST Defensive player, or worst case scenario an OL. I dont have a problem with #7....as long as we're in the top 10 we're good. Anddon't forget all the 2nd rounders and 3rd rounders we've accumulated if we do those trades with TB and Minny.

My only problem with Matt Jones is how many people are all about him because he can be the third string QB.

If anyone has seen Matt Jones throw you know damn well that guy does not belong behind center in the NFL. ;)

Just doesn't have the arm or the decision making ability. However he is one of the more impressive athletic freaks I've seen in quite some time. If he grasps the concept of WR and progresses there, he can be unlike anyone the league has ever seen.

I just think if people who are upping his draft status because he can be the 3rd QB are waaay off base. If Matt Jones ends up behind center for you, you are in a world of trouble.

How often does your third QB play? Generally the 3rd QB only plays in very extreme situations and for a very short few moments. I don't see why Jones can't be your reserve emergency 3rd QB?

I Love SABAN.....I DO believe SMITH is a Smokescreen. I think Saban wants TB to trade up 3 spots for Smith, which then might cause a DOMINO effect making Minnesotta trade up with the Fins new #5 pick and giving us their #7. Remember the Vikings got rid of Moss to get that #7 and take one of the big 2 WR's.....well as time went on Braylon and Mike have been moving up the draft boards and neither of them might get past #6 to the Titans. Hopefully we make everyone in the top 10 nervous and we use it to our advantage. At #7 we can still find one of the 3 RB's, maybe a top WR,Possibly The BEST Defensive player, or worst case scenario the best OL on the board. That doesn't seem so bad, right?
Hey, remember that the Vikings these past two years have been the joke of the draft. Remember that they were LATE turning in the name of the player they want for 2 straight years, making them move further down in the draft. They can easily get Nervous that one of the big 2 WR's will fall off the board before either of them gets to #7. The Vikings NEED a WR, and if we end up with that 5th pick and there's only one WR left MINNY will need to pull the trigger.
