Apologies if this thread has been covered (I'm new here).

During their time with the Fins, who would you say was the better back and Why?

Different style backs imo.

I liked Ronnie Brown, dude was tough as nails. He didnt just like running the ball, he liked running people over!

Teams HATED trying to tackle that guy.

Going with Ronnie.

I want to say Brown, but TBH my memory of those mid 2000 teams are fading minus the Sparano year we shocked the league with the wildcat.

Remember him sharing the load with Ricky and having a hard time staying healthy. But when healthy he was decent and could truck people.

Lamar was the home run hitter between the two, but he also never got the chance to be a bellcow, for better or worse.
Shared backfield with Bush and Thomas in 12, Thomas and Miller in 13, 14 was former Denver RB, Williams and Miller.

Both could catch the ball as well.

Ronnie was much better, I always thought he was underrated nationally, great back. Lamar was good too with great speed but not as complete of a back.

I’d go with Lamar just for the reason, we picked a college backup RB over Rodgers.

Loved Ronnie!

He was all set to be THE MAN in the NFL when he blew his knee out.

Sure he made a strong comeback but he was never the same after the surgery.

He was a BEAST with power and speed and played with bad intentions.

LaMarvelous was good for us -- but not even close to Ronnie IMO.

Absolutely Ronnie Brown. He was powerful and elusive. Miller had speed, but poor vision and wasn't known for that smack you in the mouth power.

I don’t think Lamar Miller was the best “Lamar” running back. I’ll take Lamar Smith until he got Wanny’d into submission. Lamar Gordon is merely a footnote in history.

No question for me I'd rather have Lamar Miller. He fits the more traditional mold of a runner. Ronnie Brown was a tremendous athlete who simply had to find a position. I think he would've been a better OLB given his build. I am not bitter about the Rodgers thing, I don't think anyone else should be either. That was a horrendous first round.

I know I'd rather have Kenyan Drake then either of them.

Ricky Williams was too good to be true.

I’d go with Lamar just for the reason, we picked a college backup RB over Rodgers.

Sadly I think that is the reason Ronnie wasnt loved more around here.

Not his fault, but it is what it is. Frankly, if Ricky didnt flake out on us we might have taken Rodgers instead.
