Did anybody else get the impression that Ronnie Brown lacks the initial burst that Ricky has?

Nah. I think he seemed hesitant at times, but it's his first game as a pro, so you can't really expect miracles.

Ronnie panics, he is a rookie it is typical. He tries to make a big play out of everything, and couldn't stick with the 2-3 yards a run. He smartened up a it throughout the game, but he just needs to adapt to the pros. You can't spin in the backfield everytime your in a jam in the NFL. By week 12 Ronnie will be a machine.

Yes he lacks the initial burst Ricky has, but so do most backs in the league. Ronnie is going to be a good back.

Mark my words. Ricky will turn the league upside down.

Ronnie will get better as we go. I expect a better game out of him each week. the broncos have a solid front 7. the jets front 7 isnt as good as them so i expect a bigger game next week definitly.

no, he aint slow. stop these thread mod..they suck.im actually sorry i responded to this dribble..

It's called deliberate (sp?)
Rookie stuff.
He will learn AFTER the "welcome to the NFL" hit that will come.

Nah, Ronnie looked OK. I think he had better stats today than Ricky had in his first game. I wouldn't worry about it. And considering that our O-Line still isn't exactly dominant, you can't expect Ronnie to post incredible numbers.

He was the second pick of the draft and produced a 4.4 at the combine...I expected a little more acceleration

You apologists seem to think that we should "give the guy a break". Let me remind all of you that a tail back drafted NUMBER TWO overall is supposed to come "fully assembled" and ready to run. He either CAN run or he can't... a HB's intangible abilities (see: VISION) are inherent.

I disagree. There is no position in the draft where you get "fully assembled" players. You draft for the future, instant impact is gotten in FA. This was Browns first pro start, he looked like a rookie because that's what he is.
