Since everyone's favorite debate is Jake Long vs Matt Ryan, I'll throw this one out there because I never see it.
I liked the Ronnie Brown pick, I had high hopes for him, too bad he had happy feet and was injury prone.
But looking back on it, we whould have picked A-Rodg.
Would he be the same guy on this team? Yes, I dont thinking sitting behind Favre made a difference because Favre repeatedly refused to mentor him, and Rodgers turned out fo be better than Favre ever was(yes I went there, compare them if you want but the truth is Rodgers is better than Favre, and is getting better and better.

So, its just another reason to hope Saban gets sodomized to death by a herd of rhinos.

We had culpepper so we didnt need a qb so basically we should of signed brees end of discussion.

Dolpns, are you blind? Or are you just "that guy"
Not sure what you mean, but if you knew the forums, which you clearly do not, you'd understand my post.. So I say, go on and play son, go play..

Same story, different year

One of our many mistakes. Hindsight's 20/20. I for one wanted Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan, mainly cause I just wanted Miami to draft a top rated QB in the first round

We didnt have Culpepper in 2005. I always thought drafting a backup runningback with the 2nd pick in the draft made no sense and did like Rodgers in that draft but alot of teams passed on Rodgers. Both the Brown and Long picks were the wrong pick at the time but I follow the logic of the safeness of the Long pick. The truth is that no Lt in the league no matter how good is even as important as a top 10 qb in this league. Qb impacts the whole offense and as we have seen even with an elite LT our line still hasnt been that good.

Why would we want him? He would have under-thrown a pass in his first game and half the fans would have written him off as a bust from that day forward.

I remember that draft. Early predictions and mock drafts had Aaron Rogers going as the number one pick, and the dolphins drafting Alex Smith. Then rumors started to come out that Nick Saban was in love with Ronnie Brown.

Not sure if the post makes a truely relevant point but I like the idea of Saban getting hammered to death by a herd of rhinos!
