A lot of people might be worried that Nick Saban picked the wrong halfback out of Auburn with the 2nd pick in the 2005 NFL draft.

The fact is, look at how many times the blitz got to #11.

Look at how much time #11 had to throw the ball.

Look at how many times #11 had to scramble out of the pocket to get a pass off.

We have the smartest and best pass blocking back from the draft.

It is now obvious how important that is to the game as we were able to pass all over Denver; something very few experts would have ever expected.

He did all that protecting while also running hard enough to keep their D focused on shutting him down.

He had a lot to do with our nicest offensive output in quite some time.

Experts dont know SH&& they know as much as you and me, about who will win.

Don't forget the crucial catch on 3rd and 3, and a tough one at that. He was also the player with the best HANDS in the draft, receivers included.

I think picking between Cadillac and Ronnie was a win-win situation. Ronnie does have good hands though that catch was amazing! Ronnie looks like he is probably going to work out for us.

I think saban has every intention of keepinf RW on this team.. And judging by all the philosophical talk going around the locker room lately, I can see RW wanting to stay here.

Ronnie is the type of versatile back we need.. His catching ability is exactly the type of back this offense requires. We arent denver or Pittsburg who you know are going to run it down your throat..

Ronnie fits the bill of what THIS offensive identity.

Did you see how KCs 2 headed monster RB system worked. I don't know how long we will be able to afford both guys, but I sure look forward to seeing it in week 6.

Ronnie will develope into a pro bowl RB.

What he showed me:

1) He can pick up the blitz and block.

2) He has great hands and can adjust to the pass, inorder to make the tough catch.

3) He can run hard when he is giving some space.

4) He has the physical skills to get it done.

5) He isn't scared to run into traffic.

6) Looks like he is aware of whats going on and a smart player.

Negatives:

1) He thinks he can cut and run around the defense when nothing is there. He will learn to take the one yard loss, instead of the 5 yard loss.

2) He hesitates when nothing is there; he is thinking out there. This will change with experience, he will play more instinctive in time.

Ronnie will be a star. Count on it.

That catch on 3rd and 3 showed why we took Ronnie and not Caddy. The average running back that would have been a incomplete, but Ronnie saved it and we scored off that drive.

Both can run the ball we all know that, but in Linehan's system the RB has to do more than run. They have to catch and block two area's I think Ronnie is better than Caddy in.

Miami took the right player.

Like everyone has said before, he showed that he had talent vs. Denver. That catch he made for the first down was huge and help set up our first TD of the game. I think he'll get better as the year goes on, and I think we really should start throwing him a few balls. I believe he had only one ball thrown to him all game which he completed. I'd love to see how else we could utilize him besides just running him up the middle.

Whats going to change is in week 5, when our pro-bowl running back comes back............

****y? Is that you?

I want to add something.

I can not wait to see how Ronnie will run once this team developes some pro bowl OL. Yeah, the KC RBs run great, however, they have some future HOF OL and TE on the team. That can not be under stated.

Once Hauck gets this OL blocking the right way, Ronnie and RW will be running over everyone. It wont even be fair.

I was a total pro-caddy before the draft, and he showed sunday he has star potential, but theres a very good chance when Ronnie get comfortable and fully utilized in our offense, that the sparks will fllllllllly.

Ronnie impressed me the most with his blocks. I am astonished how fast he has adapted to the pro game after just 2 preseason stints, picking up blitzes with ease.

he backed up the scouts reports that his hands are the best in the draft also. sick catch on 3rd and 3 on the 1st TD drive.

the running lanes are still not open, but that's an O-line issue and I trust Hudson will get them playing harder and harder as the season progresses. Don't read into the 22 carries for 57 yds too deep.

No turnovers, one botched play to him when they went for it on 4th down. Not sure who screwed up there, it looked like Gus turned to throw a beam at Ronnie?!?!

All in all I'd give his debut an 8/10 given my high expectations. Very good.
