Time to Step IT Up and get in there....1 week gone and counting....
 
I was really hoping they would get a deal done today seeing that it was the team's day off. So far nothing has happened. :( I really want him to sign before the HOF game even if he doesn't play in it.

if he makes it through this week without signing that'd be a little ridiculous...if hes not Inked by wednesday or so I'll start worrying then.

I agree. To this point(today) I haven't been worried, but everyday that passes now, I will get a little more worried. Something is terribly wrong if he isn't signed by next weekend.

he could sign that morning and play if he wanted. However, sabans probably not just gonna throw him out there without atleast a weeks worth of practice if i had to guess. so i think a lot of people will have to deal with him not being in that game. It'll be just as exciting to see ricky run again IMO though.
 
I'm sure that he realizes that he's not goning to just waltz into camp and take over the 1st RB position.... i think that he will find out that there's going to be alot of catch up going on. It behooves him to get his azz into camp asap!

If he doesn't sign by like Wednesday, he probably won't play in the HOF game. He just won't have the time to learn the plays and get practice time in. Plus, with all the other RBs being at camp, Saban is not just going to deny them the chance to play. He will probably have to wait until the second preseason game until he can take the field. It will be interesting though to see if Saban starts Ricky or Gordon in the game.

Don't you think that Saban gave him a playbook during the June camps?

Ronnie not being in camp is THE WORST NEWS since the start of Training Camp.

Thats a Beautiful thing.

We should be counting our blessings......(knock on wood)

Reading the playbook on your own and learning it by "going through the motions" are worlds apart as far as being ready to play in the first live action.
