An ACL tear is usually a two year injury (from the cases i've seen). Do you guys think we need some more RB help or do you expect ronnie to return to form early?? I love booker but I don't think he is the "between the tackles" type of runner that we need. I also have no idea what to expect from ricky....thoughts?

braylon edwards is a good recent example of a player returning to top form quickly after a clean acl tear with a good mend.

i think he will start looking good around week 7 or 8 right when ricky should be breaking down.. i think it could work out well

It's all going to be mental for him. The Knee will be fine medically. I'm worried as to how hard he will hit the hole and trust his knee again. I think ricky can hold most of the carries until he gets back up to speed.

As long as nothing happens to Ricky I won't be too concerned... Until Ronnie is back to 100%, we can't use him 25+ times a game.

With our re-vamped O-line I'm pretty excited based on how Ronnie did last year with much less help.... I think Ricky, Ronnie, and LoBo will be able to find lots of holes, so as long as 2 of the 3 are healthy, I'm not too concerned.

IMO drafting a RB is crucial to this team and a concern of our front office and the fact they aren't mentioning it makes me think it will happen more. If we don't I think we would be taking a huge risk.

While I'm no doctor I think there are a few things too consider. The degree of the tear matters alot and the ability of a young man too heal as well. I seem too recall at the end of last season that Ronnie was walking very smoothly. People remarked it was a good sign. Don't recall crutches or a cast. Am I right?

I disagree. I think RB is one of our few strengths. Sure, RB is a small question mark with his injury, and Ricky will be a question mark for the rest of his career. But we also have Lorenzo Booker, who never seemed to get a chance last year.

Behind a revamped line, you would think at least one of those question marks would work out for us this season. Draft a stud next year after we get a better feel for where our RBs stand at the end of this season.

From what I saw, Ronnie got up and walked off after that injury. I haven't seen any photos of him with crutches either. He seems to be progressing as normal. As long as Ronnie continues to be smart with his recovery, he'll be just fine.

If we plan on giving Ronnie Brown a hige load this year then has a much greater chance of being injured than if we drafted a solid between the tackles runner.

All i can say is Willis McGahee.

I am no expert but I think doctors have perfected sports related injuries. People are consistently coming back off record time with injuries. Ronnie is a soilder and a workhorse I am positive he will be fine. The Jake Long pick leads me to believe Big Tuna is salivating over the potential of Ronnie and/or Lo Book.

His injury really wasn't all THAT bad.

He may start a little slow this year, but I still expect him to have a VERY good season.
