Try this... Miami's Rush offense vs. Tampa Bay's rush offense. We are ranked #12 and they are #14. It doesn't matter who the better back is, as long as we are a good rushing team. The fact is, Ricky is better than either of them will ever be.

Would you have said that a month and half ago? :goof:

How do you know that the #2 and #5 overall picks are limited.

I think Ronnie will eventually be a better all-around back, but I guess thats just me...

Well i could be wrong haha. But ricky is simply a beast. The point of the post though was that the production of one running back doesn't matter. The team's ability to run does. Atlanta is the number 1 rushing team in the NFL, and they don't have any amazing runners. They have a great game plan, O-line, a QB that can REALLY move, and multiple solid runners. Individual stats dont matter. Chemistry is what it's about... from the coach to the players.

Warrick Dunn and T.J. are both very good. not great. Definitally not as good as Ronnie or Ricky

behind the same oline ronnie and ricky both averaged 4.4 yards a carry for the season

warrick was a heisman winner? wath school? what year? wans't aware.

Actually I think Ronnie and Caddy will go on to have much better careers than Ricky

Aside from his amazing 1800 yard season ricky has had a pretty average career

It doesn't matter b/c both are good and I think Brown is better from what I have seen anyway.

So 97 yards per game started and a 4.0 YPC average is "a pretty average career?" Emmitt Smith averaged about 84 yards per game started and a per-carry average of 4.2. Edgerrin James is at 96 and 4.2.

Far from average.

Your basic point is valid, but the numbers are pretty skewed if you are counting Ricky's yards this year when he didn't "start." If you include all games played (regardless of starts), Ricky is at around 86 ypg.

I never cared. I like Ronnie a lot, but I'd rather our team be successful as a unit, rather then worry about Ronnie beating out Caddy for ROY honors. I mean, say Ronnie wins MVP next year. I'd rather have that then ROY.

Then again, I'd rather have a Super Bowl instead of anything else. So, maybe we could try and get that first

But the intangible that make Ronnie better. Blocking and pass catching.

You guys know Ricky stated based on the leauge minimum. "Who couldnt make a living on 500,000?" So IMO we are going to see both backs next year again. Saban would be crazy to let him go for the price that we have him at. 1600 yards combined by both backs isnt to shabby, with a 4.4 av...nice. My point being I agree with the thread line....who cares who is getting the better stats. I already said I was upset that Carucci said Cadillac was the better back over Ronnie. Why because of the stats he put up this year. Ricky and Ronnie better than Cadillac...........imo :D
