Ronnie was quoted at Miamiherald.com, in answer to the question... "Is it unfair to compare you to Cadillac Williams?, as saying...

A: "Not really. That was one of the things that we were going to expect coming out of the same college and being drafted around the same place. We knew there were going to be comparisons. But it is different. He's at Tampa Bay and I'm in Miami. He has a different offensive line. They've got a different scheme, so things are going to be a little different. I kind of use that as motivation. I think it's a little bit more helpful than it is hurtful."

Wouldn't the Oline rightly or wrongly take a bit of offense to this. Makes it sound like he thinks it is the Olines fault. Which it may be, but should he really be the one saying it? I did not read the whole article, but it caugh my attention.

Who gives a rats *** if the O-line takes offense to it? Last time I checked, they are getting paid millions of dollars and only doing the pass-blocking part of their job. If they dont like it, tell them to cram it where the moon dont shine.

Eeeehhhh.....not really. Seeing that pointing fingers isn't in his nature, I don't think he was trying to place the blame on anyone.

And even if he did, and as for if he should be the one saying this...... considering that the RB looks for lanes that the O-line opens up, he has at least some right to say it.

How do you get that he is dissing the O-Line out of saying "he has a different O-Line"?

If he said that he has a BETTER O-Line then that would be a dis.

Mountain out of mole hills my friend.

The fact remains they are in different situations.

If you listen to the interview, thats not his point at all. Hes basically just saying its two different teams, schemes, lines.. everythings different.

why do people have to find something always offensive out of something??? Who gives a crap even if it was offensive?

Well, he mentioned "schemes" and "different", so what else is there to different excluding schemes. I can only think of quality and players. Yes it is reading into it but that is why I asked for opinion. Even though the Oline makes millions that does not mean the comment would sit well.

Well, I didn't take it that way...however, if the shoe fits JJ, SM, VC, Big Mac, McDougle, Hadnot, etc....????

They do a good job for Sammy Morris. He's averaging over 5ypc.
They haven't played badly. Against Denver they were playing against 6-8 man fronts. The Jets tried to do the same thing. I think the WR's are more at fault because they didn't make enough plays to force the Jets out of their game plan.

The O-line gave up one sack against Denver and 2 against the Jets. Not too shabby.
Face it, after their performance last season there are too many of you who couldn't wait to unload on them this season.

Just wondering....

They do it for Morris, but not for Brown. Is that what you're trying to say? Seriously, not trying to bash. Just want to know.

Just give him some time and Ronnie will make everyone happy...If the line gets pissed Ronnie can just take them to a buffet somewhere and they'll forget all about it!.

No, I wouldn't take offense to that if I was on the O-Line they know what they are doing. Also, the coaches have RB blocking alot more then Caddy has to. That is what he means by different scheme and things.
