are on our schedule . . . how weird is that - seems kinda poetic , no

with howard , , , it seems some would have liked for what happened to

Gmen have Rogers Cromartie and Janoris Jenkins. I doubt we see much of Apple. Which is why I never understood that pick besides the fact I feel he was a reach. Maybe they see him as a longer term project? I dunno...

I was very confused by this post, I couldn't figure out if it was this year or last year. Coughlin is gone and didn't Eli and Ryan mix it up last year on MNF?

Me too lol, had to do a double take on the date. But yes, we played last year
 
I attended a Miami Dolphins event to meet the rookies this evening. (It was also to sell seats at the stadium - LOL). The 2 rookies who attended and answered questions were Xavien Howard and RB Kenyan Drake. Having seen both answer questions on video, my expectation was that Drake would impress more than Howard. However, I left the event more impressed by Howard and his self confidence. Both did well but it is clear that Howard sees himself as a starter and he's clearly delighted to be a Miami Dolphin. Time will tell who has the better career.

I attended the same event and enjoyed hearing from the rooks. I thought Drake spoke very well, and I quietly acknowledged to myself "what an intelligent young man!" For a 20 year old kid, he's got a very good head on his shoulders. Howard was very soft-spoken, but certainly confident in his abilities. When asked about trash talking, he said he doesn't like to talk smack to his opponent, but finds his opponents that do rather entertaining and funny...says he prefers to let his play on the field speak for him. Overall, both presented themselves well and with class. Humble as rookies, but very confident as players.

The funniest part of the evening was when someone asked Drake about his pass-blocking at Alabama, and he mentioned that Coach Saban would not have let his players in the game if they couldn't pass-block. As soon as he said the word "Saban", most of the room boo'ed. Joe Rose, the moderator for the evening, laughed and said to Drake "We warned you of what would happen if you mentioned Saban!" He laughed it off and smiled. I remember an interview Drake did right after the draft, when someone asked him about playing for Saban. He answered by saying "Next Question!"
