Linehan controls over Saban

Saban isn't a rookie in coaching in the NFL, but he is a rookie NFL HEAD coach. He is going to rely on the experience of the coaching staff that he hired. He brought in some significant power. I believe he did this to cover his inexperience in the areas he is not comfortable with. He was defensive coordinater under Bill in Cleveland. He has admitted to being a defensive minded coach.

I believe that Saban is putting too much of the offensive game calling into Linehan's hands due to the success he had in Minnesota. Per an artical that I read earlier, Linehan was known for the trick plays in Minnesota as well. However, he had Culpepper and Moss and a decent running game. Culpepper and Moss would always keep the 'D' backed off the line. :yell:

He has said over and over again in the last couple of weeks that R-N-R have really produced. He has also said several times that the OL has been preforming well and is beginning to gel. We all know that because we have seen it! However, he can not preach one thing on his post game, day after and his personal shows and let another thing happen on game day.:(

Last week we run the backs 40 times, we win the game! This week Frerotte was never even TOUCHED!! And that was against a team that has the leading sacker in the NFC!!! The last 2 games have given us a foundation that we can build on. :D

I honestly believe that when we get behind, Linehan begins getting happy with the play calling. In every game that we are behind going into the 2nd quarter, we get away from our true power. :fire:

I don't care if we are behind by 7 or 10 points going into the 3rd or 4th quarter... You have to go to your strength... When your running game is averaging 5.6 yards a carry, you have to go with it!!! 3 X 5.6 is a first down!!! Whether it is 3 on the 1st, 7 on the 2nd and 3 on the 3rd, or it is -1, 12, or -5, 3, and 7... IT doesn't matter what math is used!

Don't get me wrong, I don't think we run on every down, but I believe that it should be a 3:1 run/pass ratio until the opposition steps up and tries to stop it. That's when you hit them a couple of times for short or intermediate passing. If that doesn't back them off... Then you a take a shot downfield for a big one. :)

If you watched the Colts/Pats game last night, you know what I mean... But then again, we don't have a Manning. I believe that we have the Harrison, Wayne and James... "2 fold!!"... Just need a Manning,Palmer, Brees, Plumber, Delhomme, Brady, Bledsoe, Collins, Vick, Roshenfels or any other QB that can throw an accurate pass... Hell, I think Vinne T. would be a great QB... AGAIN... with what we have now!!!

The key to our offensive playcalling is balance. If we run too much then we will get 8 and 9 men in the box to stop the run and will no longer be able to run, same goes if we pass to much. We need our running game to setup our passing game. I think we need to use mcmichael more in the middle of the field and also try to get gus in some rythm with some easy(and successful) short passes.

Why did you post this twice for?
