sounds crazy but i think if ravens, chargers and dolphins all finish tied we win the tiebreaker. not sure but i think i heard that. so if just us and the ravens finish 9-7 we're out, but if us ravens and chargers all finish 9-7 (or 8-8) we get in. anyone know if thats the case?

its not that unrealistic all 3 finish 8-8

san diego....at denver L, oakland W, kansas city W, 8-8
baltimore....at detroit L, new england W, at cincinnati L, 8-8
miami....new england L, at buffalo L, jets W, 8-8

Assume the following:

1. Miami loses to New England, but beats Buffalo and the Jets
2. The Ravens lose to New England, but beat Detroit and Cincinnati
3. The Chargers win out

Then yes, Miami gets in due to a 3 way tiebreaker nullifying head to head advantage. However, San Diego has to beat Denver this week to have a shot to go 9-7. It's improbable.

Ultimately, what gets Miami in is winning out. It's that simple. If the Dolphins step up and actually win games, they can get into the playoffs. If they stumble here down the stretch, they won't. That's what happens when you lose to the Bills and Bucs.

I believe if there's a 3-way tie the team with the best conference record makes it through. So yes, if the Chargers finish 9-7, same as Baltimore and Miami, we get in IF and only if Baltimore's loss is against NE or Cinci.

I think with the playoff machine ravens get it. I'll have to play it right now.

baltimore is gonna have their hands full next monday night...prime time road games where the opposition must have it are hard as hell...they almost lost at home to a bad viking team they are ripe for some losses in the final 3 weeks

ill be very surprised if baltimore wins that game. detroit needs that game badly and that place will be LOUD on a monday night. if we beat the pats we'll be the heavy favorite to get the 6 seed

looking at the playoff generator, if SD, Balt, Mia are all 8-8, the tie breaker will go to SD or balt. Edit: nevermind, depends on who each team wins or loses against, the last 3 games. lol
