I don't believe in saviors, celestial or otherwise, but I do believe that the football operations of the Dolphins need to be wiped clean by the world's biggest roll of Charmin. And I believe that the person best qualified to do that will be center stage tomorrow and we should hope for him to do well.

This is a dry year for head coaching candidates. No well established Jeff Fisher types out there just waiting to get back into the game. No unimpeachable assistants who have head coach written all over them. And there's no Jim Harbaugh, either, an NFL veteran running an NFL type college team where you know the transition will be seamless.

The closest thing to that this year is Gus Malzahn. I don't need to go back over his resume. It's been debated and scrutinized. And I don't want to be the guy to tell world weary Dolphins fans to hope for anything, because we never get what we hope for.

The only thing I'll say is... root for Auburn. Not necessarily to win -- because honestly, nobody is beating Florida State this year -- but hell... root for them to at least not to get dump trucked like everyone else who's played FSU. Root for him to look good. Because if Ears decides to tear down his **** covered temple he's going to want to get a name he can sell, and what's easier to sell than a National Champion... or at least a guy who took an overmatched team and came *this close* to being a National Champion?

Go Auburn!

1) Gus Malzahn is not leaving Auburn
2) Even if he was interested in the NFL, Philbin will not be fired.

This is Dolphins related how? Anyway I don't care about College football. I want FSU to win. They earned it, UF had it a few years back so did Auburn. Its the Noles turn!

Why not?

It's Dolphins related because it relates to the fortunes of a coach we might want to hire. Or should at least be considering hiring. Gus Malzahn doing well tonight is the best chance for Philbin and Ireland to get fired, imo. Because everything we've seen to this point is that Ears isn't particularly inclined to get rid of them. He needs a reason on top of everything that's already happened.

Imagine Malzahn with Tannenhill. He would make him ridiculous. Using that up-tempo offense and allowing Tannenhill to use that brain of his and athleticism would make us speechless.

Malzahn would probably be infatuated with Rishard Matthews out of all the recievers.

I know Malzahn runs a wicked running attack which is a good thing. How does his passing offense work and how is it suited for 17?

Why would a lover of mediocre football like Ross want to fire his coach or Gm or anybody that makes too much sense.

Got to root for the Florida school I'm afraid always. Not convinced about the auburn guy tbh either, don't see many College guys who look likely winners in the NFL yet either, maybe Jimbo Fisher. You know he can spot talent and coach it up, but he's not leaving the college game any time soon.

We want to root for a certain college team to win a game, because that means that their coach will leave, and of course he's going to come to Miami, a team that doesn't have a vacancy at head coach? Sounds like a sure thing to me.

On that note, love to watch Winston play, so go FSU
