Good dude. Shame he didn't turn out to be a good HC. I had high hopes coming into this season, as did most others. What a change from where we were coming into this season.

I like Joe as a person but the move needed to be made. I'm sick of having the Dolphins not be a good team.

As much as I hated Philbin, he was professional and left with dignity. Hope his future endeavors are better than his previous.

well said by both. Now lets move on. We won't be better quickly but we can turn the page.

This is disappointing on one hand because I had high hopes for Philbin, but on the other hand I'm SUPER interested to see what a coach who speaks with fire like Dan Campbell can accomplish.

I'm getting a little concerned that Ross has made an official statement and yet Coyle appears to still have a job. Are we to assume the firings are all done? I had optimism when I found out about Philbin but if Coyle somehow skates on this all optimism is lost

He shouldve ended his statemeny with "were gonna have to check the tape"

Joe Philbin from what I saw was a class A individual. He cared about building something great and you knew he world damn hard at it. But many times your best just isn't enough. I hope he lands some place that makes him happy.

I wish Philbin the best. Good man, just not a good coach.

Hope Philbin does well in his future roles if he still coaches. He's a good organizer and knows the inner-workings of football from a structural, sky-view standpoint, but that's very far and away from all you need to be a good head coach and a leader of men. I'm wondering if he'll truly see that now and harness that experience. Too much "we've got to do better" and nothing improving, gotta get far more involved with the staff, players, etc.
