Did anyone else see Ross at the end of the game walking with Tannehill with a smile ear to ear like a schoolgirl meeting her crush?

The Dolphins win another meaningless game (after pretty much being eliminated from playoff contention ala the Viking game lasted year) in pathetic fashion and Ross looks as excited as if his team just clinched the playoffs.

It made me cringe because it's yet another signal that the man doesn't get it. It also suggests to me that he wasn't a lifelong Dolphin fan as he suggests. If he had been, he would be drained by 15 years of ineptitude just like the rest of us. He is still in the young fan phase, filled with unwarranted hope and still having the ability to get perked up by hollow wins...

Thank God Philbin is already gone or he might have gotten another extension. But that shot of Ross walking off the field all giddy scares me about what will go down this offseason. Expect more band aids and half measures as Ross is still convinced the team is "close"...

Thought he has been pretty open about being a lifelong Jets fan?

God forbid he gets some enjoyment out of his Billion dollar team.

I am going easier on Ross as the years go by. My biggest beef was keeping Joe on, but he did fire him when it was needed.

I didn't take his appearance on the field after the game as a negative. I had zero issues with it.....

He fired Philbin 10 months after it was needed.

I would have fired him after the 2013 season collapse and bullying scandal, but I never liked Joe so I am bias I guess.

This is such a lame defense of Ross. If he really had fired Philbin when it was needed, this season wouldn't have been wasted (as 2011 was wasted after he waited too long with Sparano).

The team gutted out a good tough win and our owner like most of our fans was smiling. Why is it cringeworthy to enjoy a win? Yes, it wasn't pretty but our D-line won the game for us and after a long losing sequence against the Ravens, we finally beat them.
Our owner is in the process of spending over $400 million from his own pocket, upgrading the stadium. He is not trying to relocate the team like some other owners, eg Kroenke, Spanos and Davis. Ross is a good man who prefers to not interfere, we just need him to make a good appointment for Head Coach.

Now were bitching about the owner smiling because we won.

He really does. post of the year

I did like the Joe hire but by the end of 2013 I knew it was a mistake so I was right there with you. The decision to give him another year could have gone either way at that time; however, by the end of 2014 there just wasn't a good argument to continue his tenure.

His delusions constantly get in the way of this franchise making the right choices and I fear it will again. Good man or not he has shown himself to be incompetent when it comes to leading the franchise. His ignorance of the true issues underlying the team is a big source of the problem.

This may seem like nitpicking and excessive bitching about a seemingly benign thing, but to me it just confirms that Ross still has his head firmly entrenched up his own rectum...

This fanbase is sick and tired of hollow, meaningless victories that do nothing for the franchise other than knock them out of prime draft positioning, yet here we have the owner puffing his chest once again "excited by the direction of the team". The man is still as deluded as ever.

It's hard to get excited about wins after we're essentially eliminated from playoff competition. It's like getting excited about a 4th quarter touchdown when you're down 35-0. Going forward this season, the only thing wins accomplish is limiting our choices come the draft.

I don't see the big deal as all home team owners are on the field after their team wins. We don't see it too often because we don't win at home too often. There are many reasons to gripe about Ross, this is at the bottom of the list.
