No matter what happens in the next 2 games Joe has to go imo. The team takes on the personality of the HC. We go out there all business like while the opposition cranks up the intensity and beats us up. This is why some games we come out flat. This is the source of he Jekyl Hyde type personality the team has. Joe must think he's Tom Landry!

#1 replace Joe with somebody that will energize the fan base and be a leader of men.

#2 try to do a Pat Riley style move to bring a big time star player. My first choice, Adrian Peterson. You want to build around Tannehill give him a powerful running attack. Fix the problems at guard, move Pouncey bak to center. He's not a very good NFL guard.

#3 let Hickey do his job building the roster

#4retain Bill Lazor/ he's smart, dynamic and I want more of the Lazor/ Tannehill connection

Stop. Stop it. Just stop with that trite phrase. It's just as awful as this, which I will be forced to post every time I see it:

Hope you're ears are burning in retribution.

Just because someone acts all emotional that does not = they are a good coach. Look to our prior coach as case in point.

I do think there is some truth to the leadership argument. I think that in any business, or in any walk of life, having a leader or boss who doesn't inspire confidence or trust is a real problem. I'm sorry, but the protests of the team in the last week or so don't sway me. They have demonstrated with past actions and words that they don't really trust or feel a connection with Joe.

You say what you want, but Billy B's aura of success inspires that trust and confidence in his players. Tom Brady basically made that guy a good coach.

Hi, I'm Troy McClure!! Creator of original ideas such as:

Joe Philbin should be fired!
Tannehill has a low YPA!
Joe Philbin is not a leader of men!!
Tannehill can't hit the deep ball!!

That didn't sway most people I would assume because 9 out of 10 times the players say the same thing "it's on us players" "we like our coaches" etc.

Nice to have a great QB, it just comes back to still not having enough players on this team that make plays, in my mind. There are issues to be pointed out with the coaching for sure but if we had some more talent it sure would help compensate for some of the coaching problems.

Of course it would. I'm just saying that although Bill has basically always been great at the actual strategy, planning, and other aspects of coaching, he struggled with player management and leadership early in his career. He had the rare luck to stumble by accident into a starting quarterback who is off the charts as a leader, and has essentially sort of filled that void for the team. I don't know if you remember, but there were actually grumblings inside of the Patriots locker room about some things -- something you never, ever see or hear -- the year that Matt Cassel was starting, even though the team still won 11 games.

The Dolphins don't have a single player with that kind of leadership quality. Honestly, outside of guys like Peyton, Brady, Rodgers and JJ Watt, you really don't find those kinds of guys. We talk about lack of playmakers and how the team folds up frequently in games, and while I fully agree that the biggest problem with this team is still six years of talent acquisition by Jeff Ireland, the truth is that the team is also devoid of leadership. And don't bring up the 'leadership council' nonsense -- I'll actually defend Joe on that one. The type of leadership provided by bums like Karlos Dansby and Davone Bess was absolutely not a positive for the team in 2012.

Does anyone think we could make a run at Peterson? Bring his talents to South Beach?

Agree, Brady is a leader no doubt about it and this team is void of that also. I think the thought of bringing in players like Albert, Moreno and even Finnegan was to try an address that situation a little. Who are the vetrean leaders this team has to look to? Wake maybe but its already been reported that Wake really doesnt provide that and he is only one player.

Every player we drafted this year was a team captain in college so at least they are trying to address the "leadership" problem.

Moreno seemed to have that ability to put the team on his back. In the one game he finished anyway.
