I'm assuming no vote of confidence brings an end to someone's career soon

It seems as though Sherman will be fired. If Ireland gets fired, this loss may have done us more good than harm.

This may be code speak for selling the team before the ship hits the bottom of the ocean. He already donated a bajillion dollars to University of Michigan. Looks like he is over his fortune and waiting to die.

you either know or you don't know, and he don't know

That would be too much to hope for...

If ross would sell this team i would throw a party.Maybe then we would have someone that wants to bring back a winning tradition.

Or he is thinking about moving the team. Honestly I have no faith in this owner to make any decision that will improve our team.

why buy the team in the first place if he planned on being the most vile human being on the planet? lets hope this isn't true or im going to make a big dooty on his grave when he drops

Honestly I would rather retain Ireland and bring in an entirely new coaching staff. I don't believe that Ireland is as big a problem as most seem to think he is. We have issues, with utilizing talent, on both sides of the ball. Ireland has not failed us there. We are stuck, once again, with the inability to put talented football players in the position to succeed. These shortcomings fall on the coaching staff. I will give you this: Our o-line is a big issue. But you can't fix everything at once. But, as a former QB and COACH, you have to make adjustments to your teams strengths. Not one coach on this staff has done that. And I believe that Ireland will take care of our weaknesses this offseason. Not the greatest Ireland fan. He is sometimes an idiot. He will make moves necessary to get this team on the right track. Question is: will the coaching staff make the right moves/calls/ adjustments?

Ross is a business man, plain and simple. He bought the team to make money. Don't let his good guy persona fool you.

Well the stadium thing will have to come full circle at some point. If the team can't win, it makes zero economic sense for him to front most of the money for a new stadium. I could see him selling the team after next year if we don't make the playoffs and get asses into the seats. However that later part just got much more difficult especially if he has to convince the season ticket holders to pay more money next year.

I was reading CK's posts on Twitter and he was talking about his gut feeling about Ross's statement. Talking about the committee he has formed, Dungy/Marino all beleive in patience, stability wtvr. So basically thinks Philbin is retained and only fired if he puts ultimatum that Sherman stays. Then Sherman doesnt want Philbin in that situation so he agrees to step down as long as they keep his son in law at qb coach.

I think that would probably be the biggest mistake Ross could make. I would set fire to everything Dolphin at that point
