Armando Salguero reported on PFT that Ross called former players and Shula to let them know he's embarrassed about the Incognito/Martin story and says he ready to take drastic measures when Wells completes his investigation. Ireland and Philbin's jobs reportedly could be at stake. I'm hoping Ross shows some leadership and gets rid of Ireland.

Good for Ross. He has no other choice. This staff and FO does not last. It has been obvious from the start.

unless it turns out martin is as big a tool as i think he is and everyone is exonerated of any wrongdoing.

Ireland is gone, philbin stays.

You get rid of philbin and his entire staff and the franchise will be completely lost, with no direction in sight.

Not to mention you fire an entire coaching staff because of a couple of idiots got themselves in the media, and you prove your completely clueless about how to run a NFL team.

Give me one GM who would consider keeping the staff intact after this situation??? Even without this situation, a new GM - 95% of the time means new staff (that is what their job is). You think Ross will hire a new GM and tell him no you cant touch our coaching staff?? Yeah, that's not realistic.

Yep, I think the only way somebody doesn't get fired is if the investigation shows this was all a big misunderstanding.

You do realize if Ireland goes there's a good chance Philbin will go in the offseason as well.

Well, being prepared to take drastic measures, and actually taking them are two
different things. I'd probably be saying the same thing if I was the owner.

I'd be careful what precident I set though.

I doubt it.

Philbin is in charge of the lockeroom not Ireland, I see Philbin to be fired first than Jefflon.

While I wouldn't be against keeping Philbin, your thought is just not true. It all depends on who would be hired in place of Ireland and who they brought in

Ross is the embarrassment, he created this whole fiasco himself. **** him.

I was wrong, Ireland is gone - Philbin stays from the looks of it on his presser. Interesting he never mentions Ireland once, but stands by Joe.

Ross had glowing things to say about Philbin. Didn't say a damn word about Ireland.

Everyone needs to pull back and not let the PC and ESPN police/media dictate the direction of the team. So what do we do, fire everyone and hire Richard Simons as Head Coach and Opra as GM?

I think it's best to see how the team responds over the next few weeks before considering anything. Maybe they will take a "Junk Yard Dog" approach and we become the new nasty worl champ version of the 70's Raiders or footballs version of the "Broad Street Bullies" or the NBA's Detroit Piston, "Bad Boy's". Maybe the get a good/Bad attitude out of this and it helps.

You mean like the Jets?
