So I just drove from North Carolina to Texas...dropping my oldest son off to college. To occupy my brain and keep myself from falling asleep I was thinking about the roster and what we might be able to do.
I was thinking we could put Devlin on the practice squad, drop O'Connell and just carry two QBs. That would allow us to keep an extra WR (Livas), linebacker or DB (Culver for special teams purposes). Since Daniel Thomas was a QB at the JUCO level we could make him the emergency QB should Henne and Moore get hurt.
Now to my next thought. I was thinking there may be a loop hole in the new rule about allowing the 3rd QB on the roster to be active on game day. Could you list Daniel Thomas as the 3rd QB, allow him to play RB on game day which would in turn allow us to activate an extra player on game day?
