I would be pissed too. It made Tony look like a liar when Drew went on and said he had a Groin Strain.
 
Why oh why on earth would you lie to this regime? Lying to a soft spoken pansy like Cameron is one thing, but Sparano? Bad move on Roth's part.
 
AS cant stand alotta the guys hype BUT.... it kinda makes sense.

Roth fails physical - doesnt want TS to know, tells him he doesnt feel well so sitting out...

idk though.... a grown man at his day job lying to a boss with media all over? why the hell would he even do that? go thru blood tests and all that too....not sure what the hell is going on with roth right now...gotta wait and see how things develop
 
Well JT just earned his starting position back, or Wake just earned his position.
 
what did he lie about. Sorry for asking but i refuse to click on links that Armondo is involved in. I wont give him the hits.
 
hey shula, read my above post (not being abrasive). Basically sporano was told by roth that he didnt feel good. but his agent is reporting that he failed a physical due to his nagging groin injury. Not sure if its misunderstanding or mixed stories or lieing or what. i agree that AS is a gossiper and i too, dont like reading much of his speculative stories.

Lets wait and hear more about the situation before we make the conclusion that Roth was lying to Sparano. Maybe his groin is hurt, but not hurt enough to keep him out of practice. Maybe an illness is the reason he failed his test.
 
Something doesn't sound right about this story to me. I don't peg Roth & his famous wide open motor, for a slacker.

True. This whole thing just seems so odd to me. If Roth was lying, I don't get it. However, I understand why knowing this regime's take on injuries. However, let's say Rosenhaus is the one that's wrong in this whole deal. Why on earth would agent say something like that would hurt his client like that?
 
Matt Roth made good progress last year in a new position and is an integral part of the team.
In one of the interviews he referred to problems with his groin last season and my hunch is that it is still not right and he showed poor judgement in not being totally honest with the medical team and was exposed in the physical conditioning test.
The timing of this is bad. Sparano and the coaching team have built great team harmony by instilling discipline and a strong work ethic. Lying to the head coach by one of the toughest guys on day 1 of training camp is just plain dumb and cannot be dismissed lightly.
Once again, honesty is the best policy.
 
Just from reading Jerseys post the whole thing sounds pretty minor to me
 
I'm just waiting and seeing on this. Too many times stuff comes up like this, and many on this board start crying for him to be cut and all that good stuff.
