Rotoworld apparently says Henne will play

Henne will play if Penny gets hurt (Dear G-d that is not a request) or in mop-up duty. Penny is here to play and he'll give this team the best shot of winning. After all, even in "re-tooling" years, the goal is to win as much as possible to promote the winning attitude and environment.

I agree, if Pennington plays good all season I dont see Henne starting until Pennington shows signs that he cannot start anymore.

cant we ever put this qb issue to rest. i am ready to have our qb for the future but i want one for the present

I think a healthy Pennington plays the entire season. Henne has shown great signs during preseason, and I would love to see him play this upcoming season, but it is probably better if he didn't. Let Henne sit the year on the bench as the #2 and have him learn from Pennington. It worked for Cincy when they played Kitna and sat Palmer on the bench his rookie year.

Henne has the goods and likely would be able to play and play well in his rookie season. He started at Michigan as a Freshman, so we know he can handle the pressure early on.

Still though, I think you take advantage of having a QB like Pennington and let Henne grow into the job rather than throw him into the fire. I think we finally have our long term QB in Henne, lets just be patient with him and not rush things.

what rotoworld means is when this team is 1-7 or 2-6 at mid season they will make the switch 2 henne..

When Henne can beat out Pennington he should start, not before.

The staff ..IMO.... aren't eager to put Henne out there this year. Thats where Beck or McCown come in... and why I can see them keeping McCown. He's a vet.. he can come off the Bench cold. Well better at least...

They'll definately want Henne to learn this year. Remember Romo sat for 2 YEARS! There no reason to think that the Trifecta will all of a sudden become paniky and weak and just start throwing everyone under the bus.

Let henne sit. Learn, grow mature. Then..... unleash the hounds!
