both Talib and Flowers have huge personal questions that will pretty much eliminate them from consideration. Plus, several scouts feel Talib is best suited for the Tampa 2.

There's a chance a very good LB (whether it's Jerod Mayo, Dan Connor, or Curtis Lofton) will be available. Very good DTs in Kentwan Balmer and Pat Simms could be available (both very good fits at DE for Balmer and NT for Simms), a very good pass rusher in Quinton Groves could be available, and there's the outside chance Kenny Phillips could be available.

Got to see what our options are before we say who it will be.

I think Flacoo is going to be an absolute stud, and if we could somehow get him in round 2 or 3, that would make my offseason!

I'm absolutely ecstatic about the 2nd round this year. Honestly, there's sooo much talent to be had there. I completely agree with FinFrenzy about wishing we had 5 of 'em.

As for the #32 pick I don't think Talib will be there, but I'm confident that there's going to be a good CB to be had at #32 and I think there's going to be a lesser but still good CB prospect to be had at the 2B and 3 picks. Someone like Cason or Porter might fall, and I'd be very happy to get either. Other really salivating prospects around there that might possibly slide include Dan Connor (has the Parcells prototype size and speed and the creme-de-la-creme Penn. St. training), Brohm (doubtful, but possible), Groves (not likely but it might happen), Darren McFadden (no, not really, I'm not even serious, just checking to see if you're reading the stuff in parens), and James Hardy (though I do think he'll be a 2nd rounder but not at the top).

Brian Brohm. Some scouts have him falling to the second round, and when you consider that most experts thought he had the potential to be the #1 overall pick last year (over Russell and Quinn) taking him at #32 it'd be a steal. You can develop him and Beck and if Beck turns out to be no good you still have the young Brohm prospect, and if Beck is the real deal you have yourself a Brees/Rivers situation. Better to have 2 franchise QB's than none, right?

Everyone on this site will agree with that statement right there man.

I dont like Flowers dont think hes shutdown material
I like these players kinda in this order depending on whether we take Jake or Chris

With Jake Long With Chris Long
#1 Talib if hes here #1 Cherilus/Nicks
#2 Brohm #2 Talib if hes here
#3 Groves #3 Brohm
#4 Conner #4 Conner
#5 Balmer if he falls #5 Balmer
#6 Hardy/Kelly #6 Hardy/Kelly

personally, i want Antoine Cason. i think he's the best CB in the draft and if he is there we pull the trigger. Talib, like someone said is better suited to the tampa 2, i think Flowers will be gone and i dont think Porter can hold a candle to Cason, so i think Cason is the guy.

I would like to see us get Cason. He could come in and start right away. I like Flowers but Cason is bigger and solid. This all depends on who we take at one and IF we trade JT. If we trade JT we could go BPA with our first pick in rd 2.

Kenny Phillips

i would love that too.. but i have a feeling he will go low 20's.. since he is pretty much the ONLY good safety comming out..

and from what i hear as of late Brohm is ranked higher than Ryan on a lot of teams boards..

some of the "experts" are saying kenny phillips will fall to the secong round. if he does and we dont pick him at 32, i might go on strike.
