Now don't shoot the messenger here i am just reporting what I heard on WQAM this morning on the Joe Rose show. A guy called in who Joe seemed to know and respect and said he had some inside information on 2 moves the Dolphins are getting ready to make. He would not reveal his internal source inside the Fins organization.

The first one was the resigning of Jason Taylor. There seems to be a snag in the contract though, and JT wants 2 years, 4 million and the Dolphins have settled at 2 years, 2 million, with obvious escalators. The guy said the deal should be done at anytime and he will be a Dolphin

The second one, came out of left field . . . the Fins tryin to obtain Tony G via trade and they are working out a restructured contract to get him. Now he did not say how much we would give up to get him or who we would give up, he just said it was in the works.

Please, until confirmed these are only rumors, but those would be 2 great additions to this team . . . a HUGE pass catching threat with Gonzalez and we still got Fasano and Martin (unless 1 of them are traded in the deal) and then a pass rush threat obviously with Taylor, something we desperately need. I honestly thought it was going to be us trading for Anquan, but by him saying Gonzalez, that makes me feel like damn . . . why would he say Tony Gonzalez . . . I dunno, Fins have been looking for more picks, maybe it is to acquire a guy like Tony G. Only time will tell.

why do I feel like some poor sap might be out of a job?

I'm not sure how to feel about this. I'm not sure if I want Taylor back in Miami. We were better without him...

IN TUNA WE TRUST....

Yeah, and chick on the cover of SI Swimsuit edition is in my room naked

If Gonzalez does come to the team, I'd rather not send Fasano in the trade. He showed great promise last year

Nothing to lose sleep over. I think it would be nice to see JT return for no other reason than to see him retire a Fin. I don't know how much he has left, but it sure didn't look like much in Washington. As for Tony G, I see no reason we make this move, unless we get him for like a 5th round pick or something. Honestly how much time does he have left? Bottom line though, I'll believe when it happens. And even then it won't be earth shattering. Thanks for sharing what you heard Kdawg954.

I agree. But if we can keep Fasano and get Tony G...Im all for that. Pennington loves his short targets.

The Jason scenerio makes sense, we got two pretty decent T.E 's right now, outside getting Gonzales for a bargain i don't see this FO comitting a bunch of money or giiving up picks for him, would i like to see him in a Fin's uniform; yes but i don't see it. :rolleyes2:

Im all for having JT back. I think he would be a great team leader for the cheerleading squad and could probably put on an incredible halftime show while Im busy buying my last cups of brew before the third quarter starts.

I wouldn't cry over David Martin being let go but I'd prefer to keep him too

Sir, step away from your computer and tend to business.

Just because she is a supermodel, doesn't mean your ignoring her doesn't hurt her feelings.

was this caller a some crazy guy on his cell or an actual informed reporter?

well Tony Gonzo is a proven great TE threat i'd be all for that and with Fasano on the other side we would run more 3 TE sets, as for JT im not sure if he could help or not but signing him would be good at a low cost
