Rumor!! Dolphins close to signing Jason Taylor for 2 years & obtaining Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzales would only make sense if they planned to include David Martin in the trade and in that case it could have a huge impact on our offense. Sparano & Co. are great at adapting our offense to its strengths (wildcat, duh.) IF Gonzales came in I could see them running a lot double tight end sets, reducing the need for a true "#1" receiver and playing toward Pennington's strengths. The running game should be there next season reducing the need for the wildcat and the next phase of course, would be the passing game. I could see us concocting a new passing scheme to be this year's wildcat! anyone? anyone?

In all honesty I seriously doubt he comes here, and I doubt Taylor comes here either, I'd definitely take him though. I really wouldn't mind an OLB pass rush than included Joey Porter, Jason Taylor, Cameron Wake, and Matt Roth. He did win defensive MVP when saban used him in a lot of hybrid sets to his strengths...

Also don't forget we have Joey Haynos who could very well be an up and coming playmaker. He's really ****ing big and they've shown faith in him on that one touchdown play he had which looked to me like it was designed for him. A rotation of Fasano, Gonzales, and Haynos might be able to drive linebackers and safeties crazy enough to let Ginn, Bess, and Camarillo do some real damage.

I still doubt this happens...

I still remember the collective "who the heck is that?" at DS when he scored the touchdown against the Niners.

I just read an article that said we are basically done with FA and concentrating bigtime on the draft. I doubt this because JT does not really fit what we do now. He would be an OLB and there is no doubt IMO that BP will get one in this draft.

TG would want bank. Our TE's are just fine! Fasano made huge plays last year and Martin as well.

I cant wait till they sign with someone and this rumor is put to rest.

Who cares!!!!!!!Move on people this trade is not happening!!!!!!!

I wonder if the guy that called in was drunk or high when he called in. and how would he know about this trade. Does he work for the organization.
