It appears that the New York Giants are going to land Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards, filling their need for a No. 1 wideout and putting them in position for another Super Bowl run. With that addition, they have to get rid of a receiver and there are rumors that the Giants and Miami Dolphins might be looking to trade Domenik Hixon for a fifth-round pick. The deal would help both teams to a certain degree.
Hixon is a return specialist who stepped into a starting spot when Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself last season. While Hixon had his share of drops, he was a steady receiver at the end of the season for the Giants (43 catches for 596 yards and two touchdowns). Hixon is not a No. 1 receiver, which the Dolphins need, but he would help on special teams and also could be a good pickup for any spread formation the team employs.

Is Hixon that much better than London that we would trade a pick for him?

If this team trades for a Wr it better be for Anquan Boldin not Domenik Hixon

we have a boatload of "average" receivers, i wonder if it's ireland's plan to stick with them, maybe add one or two for depth, but i firmly believe we lack a possession receiver, and there's a lot of them in the draft.

hixon ? mehh... we need something better. we need hicks, britt, massaquoi, we need boldin, etc.

The way to get "above average" receivers is generally not to pay through the nose for guys that are already proven, but rather to grab a guy everyone thought was "average" and then watch him blossom into something much more than that.

Hixon for a 5th that would be robbery. I say if it isnt broke dont fix it. we had a ton of sucess last year with or so called average recievers. This beets the hell out of trading for a 1st for some pre madonna whos gonna want to get paid. Play well for a year or two, and then become dead money.

I rather have the fat hamster for a 5th rounder.
