RUMOR:: Dye for Abreu trade

I could handle that. I like Abreu but he's really struggling.
 
NY needs a right handed bat in a bad way. We have far too many lefties in the lineup. This would be a good solid deal for the Yanks

I agree. Besides both are FAs at the end of the year. Abreu just does not seem to have any energy either. Even when he is slumping, he just seems to be going through the motions. I think the Yanks have already decided they don't want Abreu next season, so this way they get a good look at Dye. If they like him they can resign him. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
 
Dye is hitting .228 and has an OB% under .300

It isn't like they are trading Roberto Clemente!!!
 
White Sox are really trying to change things up. I actually think that Abreu will come out of this at some point

even if i'm the other sox fan :wink:, it would be a bad trade for the white sox, abreu is doing nothing so far and dyes hitting % is bad too, but he still have 10 hr and 29 rbi's!

by the way, let's go white sox and beat the yanks!!! :D
 
i think that would be a great trade for NY...dye is struggling but when he gets going, he could be a powerful bat in that lineup
 
I think Abreu is washed up. Either that or he clearly cant handle NY. Maybe some combination thereof.

Dye I think is just a slump but i think NYY would do well to do this and dump abreu's salary and leave themselves the option of starting Melky Cabrera full time next year.
 
How's Jermaines' fastball and off speed stuff.


So far this season Sheff's having a nice year in Detriot.

Damon is moving to 1B/DH........Melky has the CF job full time now and in the future! Nothing with Abreu will change that
