Please do not get mad at me I am simply passing along a rumor I heard from a somewhat credible source.

I heard we will be trading Jason Taylor to Jacksonville for two 3rd round picks and a conditional 6th round pick

I honestly think we could get more so I don't know how I feel about this. BTW I did some research and saw Jacksonville only had one 3rd round pick, so maybe the second one will be next years.

Once again, I am simply passing along a rumor I heard.
 
He is definitely worth more than that. I know anything would be better than nothing, but trading him for pennies on the dollar would be foolish.

A third and a future second would be more like it.
 
better not do that trade. for that price i'd rather keep him here for some excitement this year.

kinda funny when you have to write, "please dont get mad at me" before posting on this site. What have times come to...

2 3rds and a 6th? Sorry, I dont buy it. He's worth more than that.
 
Jacksonville has its own third-round pick plus Buffalo's from the Marcus Stroud trade. Buffalo's is near the top of the round.

Two third-round picks might have more value this year than in the past, as they're only doing two rounds on the first day this year. If guys with first-round grades slip out of day one, some teams will pay a premium to move up and take them at the start of day two.

That said, I think we can get more.

I just read an article that said that JAX was interested in Taylor, but they dont want to give up their first round pick and are hesitant about giving up their 2nd round pick. Well guess what, TOUGH **** JAX. Taylor isnt some no name Joe Schmoe here. If you want JT, its going to cost you your 2nd rounder plus. There is no way we are trading JT if we dont get a 2nd round pick included.

You can't go around starting new threads based on every single rumor you read / hear either. That's what Moderators are hired for. It's our responsibility / job to keep rumors where they belong...

Personally, although this story is rumor based, it also has life in the local papers down here. This would be considered a rumor that has merit, therefore it wont be moved / deleted...

Heck yeah you take that trade. If that's the best then you take it.

That would give us 3 3rd's. Not only does it give us room to pick up guys who fakll but it will help us get back into the 2nd if need be. Maybe even give us ammunition to trade for certain players if need be.

There is no point in keeping Taylor and getting nothing for him. That is just naive and absurd. If we can get 2 3rd's, especiall in this years draft, that is a decent deal for a guy who might be done in 2-3 years.
