Contrary to earlier reports, the Cowboys will give Barber a first-round tender at $2.017 million, which would net them a first-round pick if he goes to another team, rather than the high tender of $2.56 million, which would have returned a first- and third-round pick.

Why is Barber even mentioned over and over again? We have a stud RB in Ronnie Brown who is twice the player Barber is. Ricky Williams might be back and we have a change-of-pace back in Lorenzo Booker who has yet to show his full potential. Don't know why we should be even in the market for a RB, let alone give up a high pick for one.

No way are we giving up a pick for him. He's very good but we have RB's on the roster and enough picks to get a good backup behind those guys. For god's sake if we wanted a runner without giving up picks we could have pushed hard for Turner. We have more important needs elsewhere.
