Heard it on the radio.....

Jay Glazer stated Nnamdi Asomugha is on the trading block.

We have young CB's still learning but our secondary is suspect right now. If he would redo his contract why not trade him for Will Allen?

The Raiders would be foolish to make that trade straight up. Will Allen plus a #1, maybe, but that's too rich for my blood. Besides, the young guys are seeing lots of playing time and holding their own for the most part.

lol i guess this is the raiders so anything is possible but will allen for him? wow. all time steal in the history of humanity. i thought there was a lot of promise for the two new corners, davis and smith, but nnamdi is one of the best corners in the league.

personally, i would pass on it and focus on other areas that need work, like the safeties.

I dont think we need a corner, we need a cover saftey. Asomugha would be perfect as a FS or SS. We wont make the deal. Just Imagine our secondary

CB S. Smith
CB.V. Davis
FS.N Asomugha
SS. Bell

that is a force to tell you the truth

why dont we send them a 2011 first round draft pick to replace the one they lost for seymour? probally not, if i were the raiders, i wouldnt take anything less than two first round picks, maybe more. the raiders are idiots though, so i dont know.

Why give up draft picks for a corner? Asomugha is very good but the Fins can go ahead and grab Berry in the draft if Cornerback is their number one priority.

what we need is a free safety not a corner. i really hope we get taylor mays, but thats not gonna happen cause hes gonna be a top 5 pick.

That's because the Raiders are quickly regretting the bonehead move of trading a #1 for Seymore and want to get it back.I'd love Asomugha, but that would be a ton invested in the CB position cap wise. I think Smith & Davis have played well for rookies, and will continue to get better. The real shame is I think they have both outplayed Will Allen so far. IMHO, Asomugha is worth a first round pick (legit cover corners are so hard to find !) I just dont see the FO putting so much Cap Money in 1 position, especially with some of our pending FA's (especially Ronnie!!!) needing to be resigned.

we dont need a CB....

Vontae is another 'Will Allen:& The Penatly Massacre' from taking his spot, besides,Nate Jones is a good nicle and Jason Allen is a nice fourth, although,I fully expect us to go CB late in the draft next year, still, were pretty much set at corner....

now,safety on the other hand....:foundout:

we are not talking about putting him at corner. we should stick him at FS

I don't think this trade makes sense for us right now. I mean, of course he's an upgrade. He might be the best corner in the NFL. But consider what we've already invested.

We have two promising early-round corner backs who are continuing to improve. We don't get that much more value for whatever exhorbitant price they charge for Asomugha.

If I'm trading that much for a player, I want him to:

1. replace an older player, and
2. play a position that is a greater need.

For all the Will Allen bashing, he's really a pretty decent cornerback.

Now, trading for a safety or a wide receiver, that might make sense.

Are you guys out of your mind? I know we have a bigger need at safety, but you don't trade for the game's best shutdown corner, pay him a king's ransom, and have him change positions.

Wow that would be unbelievable. He is hands down the best corner in the league, but I can't imagine a scenario where we land him though. We spent a first and a second on Davis and Smith this season. Man teams don't even bother throwing to the side of the field he is on. Whatever team lands him is going to have one of the best pass defenses over night.

Can the Jets trade for him or are they out of draft picks yet
