Rumor: Should find out new HC Today

I just heard on the NFL Network on Sirius (2 minute drill) that we should know something today. They got their info from a high school senior that Chan Gailey was recruiting. Chan told the senior that the decision would be made today about his future with Ga Tech. You can only think that if Chan will know if he is going or staying we will know who our new HC will be.

This was reported yesterday.

A lot of people are taking it that this means Chan Gailey will be named the coach.

It may also mean that the Dolphins will remove him from consideration.

So, if Chan Gailey isnt named the coach today, I think hes out.

I think with the team waiting on Cameron, it is Cam's job to lose unless he has a horrible interview.

I'm starting to like the idea of Mike Shula. Does anyone now the status on the contract for our OC/Mularkey? If Shula doesn't get the job, maybe he gets the OC job under either Gailey or Cameron

It looks like we might be in the home stretch of this horse race. I'm sure Wayne and his hiring team are wracking their brains about now. This looks like a pretty close race to me. There doesn't appear to be a "no brainer" guy out of the ones they're interviewing ... it'll be down to the wire for a photo finish. The winner gets the big press conference and the big bucks contract.

Garett would be a good OC IMO. Shula is rumored to join the staff in some capacity.

790 AM pretty much just plays music and ads most of the time nowadays. It's good music, but they keep playing the same songs over and over ... and over ... for about 15 minutes at a time before a host comes back on.

Since Cam is getting his 2nd interview today, its possible the decision gets made today since Cam seems to be the last interview. Maybe the Fins told Gailey he would KNOW today, one way or another. That seems more likely.
