Rumors: Michael Bennett to be possibly released?

If released, would be a nice addition. He's got game-breaking speed. I think he could do some positive things for us with limited opportunites. We were interested in him at one point, right?

ive said it before on her this guy could help us. he is a better 3rd down back then minor, much quicker and has great hands. whe heathly doesnt he average like 40-50 some catches a year. I lvoe tog et him for nothing. Morris is noit a 3rd down back and neither is minor, make the deal saban and sing him if he is cut, in this offense he be great fo screen passes and is familiar with daunte as well.

I don't see how one thing has anything to do with the other. I think he would improve our depth and you always try to do that. I'm not a huge fan of him or anything but he's got very impressive speed. I think he could do some damage as a change of pace to Ronnie and with that speed, one missed tackle can cost opposing Ds a chunk of yardage.

I don't think we're that desperate need at RB as some people are overexaggerating it to be, but I think we should try for Michael Bennett if he somehwo winds up getting released.... I was completely against the idea of giving anything for him from the very start. Although I heard on NFL Network that we along with three other teams have made trade offers to New Orleans or interested in acquiring Bennett.

Yes - but we're not willing to give up a draft pick and the Saints aren't interested in any of the veterans we're offering (i.e. those not likely to make the 53 man roster).

Just what I was going to post.....there is little chance he isn't traded. It won't be for much, probably a conditional late round pick but he isn't just going to be released. Right now I think Saints FO is going to wait and see what happens in TC. If a team's #1 back goes down to injury they'll be calling the Saints.....
