When this O-line learns how to push people around, open holes and start getting into the next level (linebackers), thats when this team will be successful .We arent going anywhere this year without some decent running yards. When teams cant run they become predictable and one dimensional. They start to throw more than they should which creates mistakes and puts the pressure on the QB to succeed.

The defense also benefits from time on the bench especially with all the old bodies we carry on our roster.

I dont want to hear Ronnies a bust but i'll tell you what hes not Ricky Williams. Ricky is a top 15 running back with great vision. But Ronnie has the physical ability to pound the rock and he needs an Oline to be succesful.
And if in a year or 2 Ronnie cant turn things around, make him add weight and turn Fullback and maybe draft a small fast running back in a couple years.

One last thing, Culpepper will never be productive behind this line. I gaurantee it. They need to hold there blocks longer than they should and he doesnt read DEfenses quick. He makes plays with his physical ability.

Hopefully ,if Im correct, Joe Berger will step in this week at left gaurd and provide a boost to this weak Oline. Dmac has lots to learn at the RG position and Vernon Carey has been our best and most consistent lineman. I just Hope they start playing better and push people around or we're in for a more terrible season than it already is...

Its nice to see everyone jumping on the O-Line Bashing Bandwagon after all these years I've been the only one saying its getting worse and worse.

Wow thanx for the insight but if i really cared about how much he gets payed as a fullback why dont i just make a thread on that so you can figure it out. And by the way what did he do when Ricky was here? Thats right he was on the bench or he was on the field as a FULLBACK or in the slot and sometimes in the backfield... And who said he cant be the greatest Fullback and highest paid of all time ...If hes getting it done whether it be at wideout or HB or FB it doesnt matter if hes getting you production from any position on the field. And yes i am speaking unrealistically because that wont happen. but thanx for your worthless post. And post something insightful. MR COORDINATOR

I think so he wasnt on the Injury Report. Although i havent heard Barnes name called since the first game of the season. He was a beast in preseason burying Defenders now hes just stuck behind the oline just like the rest of the Backs.

He produced at the exact same level as Williams did playing as a rookie that's all he did!

Actually it does matter. You don't spend a huge chunk of cap space on a blocking battering ram. You don't put a talented RB that is an every down back in at FB either because that would be a colossal waste. You saw Ronnie and Ricky lining up sometimes together in the backfield last year for the sole reason of having 2 talented backs on the field at one time. It wasn't because the Phins thought one of them may be better suited for the FB position.

Yeah, he beat out Fred Beasley how I don't know, but he isn't blocking for Ronnie. I hope he plays Sunday.

You're right but Ricky also missed 4 games to browns 1. but i still think hes a talented back he just needs help on the Oline thats all he doesnt have great vision. He likes to pound people to the ground kind of like a DeShaun Foster when Stephen Davis was in Carolina.

Thats why i said Speaking unrealisticly. I wouldnt pay that much for a fullback but if he cant do anything else and is a bust i guess Release him then. And I never said they put him back there to start at FB. But they did have ronnie in to block as a fullback and as a slot reciever. Does that mean that i said they put him in the to see if he was a good Wide reciever?

Lox thats for pointing out that our o-line wasn't performing at a Pro Bowl level. You're the only one that noticed that. Good call pal.

Hey thanks for being one of the many people to realise and thanks for your worthless post.

If you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. Everything stated in my recent post was about the Oline run blocking, not pass Blocking (which is what everyone was complaining about a week ago) Now we have a pocket passer and everyone forgot about the pass blocking. Next thing you know negative people like some of the recent posters are gonna be calling for Ronnies head because he cant run behind our o-line and some people dont realise thats not his fault. i just post to shed some light on some of the ******s who only use statistics as a measuring board for success. Some people just want to argue. If this thread or anything similar has been posted before leave it to the Mods to change it otherwise Agree or disagree but dont make stupid comments that dont make a difference.

Don't sweat it man, good post. The O-Line needs help, hopefully we get some solid playmakers next season.

We have 5 veterans as our starters on the o-line. It's high time they all start playing like veterans instead of overwhelmed rookies!!!!

Phin, you and your 22 posts don't carry much weight so take your do unto others craps and beat it. My post wasn't even directed at you but at someone who acted like they were the only person to notice that the o-line in playing subpar. You either didn't get my sarcasm in which case you are stupid or you like butting in when you're not being spoken to which makes you stupid. Are you getting the bottom line?
