From the looks of it our best weapons are RB and RW...so why did this happen...

RB - 8 rushes for 95
RW - 6 rushes for -1

14 carries total

while the Chiefs who have the same type of atack with Holmes and Johnson get:

Holmes - 18 rushes for 90 yards
Johnson - 23 rushes for 93 yards

41 carries total

Now IMO our passing game SUCKS and has sucked for awhile now... so why are we trying to fit a square peg in a round hole?

I think we'll be good eventually...but this year is over in that we just dont have the talent needed for the type of offense Saban and co. want to run.

Hence, I am just looking forward to next season and hope that we can finally bring in some guys who can block and someone who can throw and actually hit the side of a barn...not to mention a decent CB...

I was thinking 8-8 when the season began but after tonight...ughhh maybe 6-10...

Just my 2 cents...I am dejected as hell guys...:(

Hang in there, Mage. We're all a bit put out by the performance tonight.

But you're right about one thing for sure - our best times are ahead of us; just think what Saban's going to do with a full complement of draft picks, and the flexibility to eat some dead cap on guys who need to go...we're going to be an awesome team in a year or two. We just need to keep our sanity through this trial.

Simple. They were winning for the entire game. We were losing for the entire game. Couple that with the fact that the run game was solid but still causing negative plays (mostly Ricky), and theres your answer. Its no coincidence that we have fallen behind early the last 3 games and we have gone on to abandon the run. We must take an early lead or at least keep it close to establish the running game.

Thats the problem though, your regulating the running game to be a compliment when it technically needs to be our strength for now since we dont have a passing game.

It just seems that Saban and co. want to bring a passing game philosophy here and throw out the running game first frame of mind we've had for so long but they dont have the tools needed to do the job right.

What will happen is that the players here and now will learn the system which will help us in the future but in the short term we'll get beat up because of the lack of talent.

I know Saban said this isn't a rebuilding year but "make haste slowly" certainly pertains to the offense. I dont care how much he denies it, its a rebuilding year because there's too many changes and too many players which don't have the talent and/or don't fit his system.
